There are small spots of either wear(or just from when it was made) to the design but nothing horrible in my opinion. The bottom opening has a rough inner edge, not sure if that's from use or just when and how it was made? Either way, it's there and isn't something that is seen when mounted on the fixture. I picked up the shade at an estate auction and the brass fixture from another estate sale. Shade is very old but I don't know if the brass fixture is an old fixture that was converted to electric and refurbished or if it's a newer reproduction. The fixture can pivot from side to side and can extend to about 19" out from the wall(that's from the wall to the far edge of the glass shade) Some slight wear to brass finish. Morrison Bros. Dubuque Iowa oil-gas tank vent valve. Found this with a bunch of other oil related items in a building once used for oil storage near a small town gas station that closed up in the 40s. The tank valve is all brass including the screens. Still attached to a 2 1/4" threaded pipe. Weighs a little over 11 lbs. From the patent dates marked it was made between 1933 an 1934. I haven't done any cleaning to this. This is an original vintage brass globe valve. It is marked Jenkins on the body. It is a 2 inch valve with a 150lb working pressure. It is about 6 inches long overall and about 10 1/2 inches tall. It has 2 inch pipe threads and they are in perfect condition. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and the valve seems to work as it should. It has a few very light wrench marks from past service. I believe it is ready to be used on a vintage water pump or gas engine cooling setup.
