Winston IM6 Fly Rod 7 weight 8'6" 3pc with two tip sections!
Original RL Winston 3 piece IM6 8'6" 7 WT fly rod. I'm the original owner of the rod and it is in excellent condition. Rod has been used only a couple of times and mostly been stored in it's original Winston sock and metal case. Really nice casting rod working streamers from drift boat. Or when windy conditions call for a 7 wt. You can feel this rod flex when casting and it does not tire you out. A beautiful rod with wells grip. Nickle silver reel seat and wood insert, and it also comes with two matched numbered top sections. You will not find a finer used rod. I have many high end rods I'll be listing from Winston. Soldiers of the north were much better financed while many soldiers of the south had there own knifes. Swords, etc. made for them by local blacksmiths or themselves. The pole pike of the north iss a most wicked spear tipped pole and tip which actually retracted within itself for safe carry, approx. 6 ft in length, and were made by a manufacturer for soldier distribution. Those Southern soldiers who chose to carry a form of a wood pole pike as a weapon were all made seperately for each man by either themselves, or a local blacksmith. This pike head came from a estate sale of a extensive civil war collection. It is 6 3/4 inches long. He's a friend of mine and I'm honored to own quite a few of his pieces and his work has never disappointed! The only thing that got this one out of my hand is I recently acquired a particular Dukoff Soprano piece. About this Piece: It is a moderately bright free blowing soprano piece. Great for contemporary jazz or R&B. If you've ever played a regular Jody Jazz DV Soprano piece. This definitely has that feel, however, this has a bit thicker sound to me, for a soprano. I didn't particularly care for the regular Jody Jazz DV soprano piece I tried, loved the alto and tenor, but the soprano version felt obnoxiously bright and thin to me. Not the case with ... morethis one! Oh and it's not $500 either! Dave Jary makes these pieces by hand out of his blanks. This one was a bit too bright originally so he filled in the long bullet chamber in the baffle with gold epoxy, it did the trick. It's still bright and projects well. But it's much more even and flexible now. Darkens up with a Rovner style lig, or use the stock metal lig that will ship with it for a more lively tone. The black mark in the baffle is just a hair of the black tooth plate showing through when he was evening out the table. It's strictly cosmetic and does not effect play whatsoever, no one sees it once the reed is on anyway so it never bothered me. No teeth marks, toothpatch always used. There are some very light scratches on the surface that are hard for me to see. And some scuff marks on the back of the right heel in the back as you can see in the 6th photo and one teeny tiny white dot on the front of each shoe as you can see in 2nd photo. Other than that, I see nothing else wrong. Again, they have been worn. If you find upon arrival that you are not happy with these Ferragamo's, just return them and I will refund you money. This listing is for a vintage Heddon Premier#15 6' originally) XL bamboo casting rod that made me so excited when I first seen it that I could hardly speak and then when my eyes went up the rod to the tip my heart sank to my toes. This is a beautiful rod from the handle up to within a couple inches of where the old tip top WAS. The rod has the last couple inches broken off and if someone else doesn't want it that way I will repair it. JB Welded into the scoop is a Rare Earth Neodymium magnet which grabs rusty trash etc. You can remove it if you prefer" Also added to the scoop handle is a Para chord wrist loop to hang the scoop but also to attach and drag the scoop on the Buzz Wilson custom made scoop rig. The Scoop is brand new it was tested in a sand pit for a few minutes o see if the Rare earth magnet was effective and it was. So although this scoop has been modified for this set up I think it is fair to consider this set up new however I will list this auction as used because the hand scoop below is used. This auction is for a lot of 2 old arrows from the Congo basin. From same collection. One arrow missing point. The other point is an exceptionally well made spade-shaped hunting point designed to cut on impact and cause massive bleeding without excessive penetration. The socketed point is attached to a wood foreshaft. Which is in turn attached to a papyrus shaft. Shaft is almost square or octagonal in cross-section. Other arrow also has wood foreshaft. Plant fibers used to reinforce joints. Multiple dark-colored bird feather fletchings attached with fiber. Deep self nocks. Measure 30"33" long. Point is 3 3/4" by 2" wide. Deep, dark patina on both arrows. In fair shape with very tattered feathers, some probably missing and coming loose. Shipping includes reinforced packaging and appropriate insurance.
