This is a nice pair of framed Fragonard. The octagon frames measure about 7 1/2" by 6 1/2" and the Fragonard plaques measure about 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" Each plaque is has a gold border and is centered on a scrolled metal background. The mounting fabric is olive green and might be velvet. I can't tell for sure. The frames show signs of wear and age related use, as shown in photos. They are in good overall condition and very usable/collectible. Please see photos. 1864 AND1865 TWO CENT PIECES; LOT OF 2 NICE CIRCULATED CIVIL WAR ERA COINS
You are bidding on a lot of 2 coins. They are an 1864 and 1865 Two Cent Piece. They are both in average circulated condition. In each photo the 1864 is on the left and the 1865 is on the right. For the 1864 the obverse has all major details. IN GOD and TRUST are all very legible but WE is missing. About 1/3 of the lines in the top of the shield are smooth. The reverse is in great shape overall. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is very bold. The 2 CENTS very legible as well. The only detraction I see is a cut in the rim at about 2:00. On the 1865 the motto is stronger but the WE is missing. The lines are worn smooth in the top part of the shield. There is a slight scratch across the shield near the bottom. On the reverse it is in great shape as well. The 2CENTS shows some wear but is very legible. These are both very nice coins to be almost 150 years ... moreold and having been around during the Civil War. They would be a nice start to any collection. Up for auction is a pair of wonderful Victorian era cranberry glass items. One is a tumbler with pinched sides. It had a ground and cut glass base. The other is a melon ribbed vase with ground bottom. These two pieces are pre 1900s and are made of good quality crystal glass. The vase dose have some air bubbles and one inclusion. The true color was hard to capture in the photos but it is very close to what you see in the photos. Tumbler measures 6" tall and the vase is 5" Condition. It seems to have had some repairs done. As there is a small amount of solder by the 1st valve. Sheet music holder mount, and first slide( SEE PHOTOS) All slides move easily and the Mother of Pearl finger tipped copper values are a little sticky. The bell measures 4 5/8" and the total length is approx. 16 3/4" Includes a brass sheet music holder, silver tone Cornet& Conn- Model Mouth pieces. Also included is a FRANK HOLTON& Co. case. Th ese 2 fabulous pieces of fabric date to the 19 4 0s. The cloth has been stored folded inside out so has no fading. The patterned piece has very vi brant colours in a floral pattern. Th is piece measures 9 5 cm x 1.28 mtrs, I'm sure it is crepe. The plain piece is a lovley shade of lilac, my friend has told me it is Dupion silk. It is very sheer and fine, this is obviously the end of the roll and has some Indian lettering embroidered on in lilac. This piece measures 92 cm x 1.80 cm. The original bowl is truly a beautiful piece made by Paul Gibson and signed PG. Both pieces are most likely made in the 1960's to very early 1970's. Up for auction is a lot of heavenly angels. The smallest one is a candle holder with a frosted angel wrapped around the base. She stands about 6.5" high. The middle one is an angel holding a gift. Standing on a frosted cloud. She stands about 7" high. the largest one is a Mikasa piece from the Herald Collection. She's made in Germany of full lead crystal and is quite heavy. All 3 are beautiful clear glass pieces in great shape with no chips, cracks, or breaks. They have been a part of my angel collection for years and I have loved them. 3 Fenton Hobnail Milk Glass Serving Pieces - Large Fancy Cruet and 2 Oil Cruets
This auction is for three Hobnail Milk Glass Serving Pieces. Made by the Fenton Art Glass Company. This auction includes a Large Fancy Cruet and 2 Smaller Oil Cruets. All three pieces include the original milk glass stoppers. These cruets were all made between 1952 and 1971. All 6 pieces(3 cruets and 3 stoppers) are in excellent condition. All three cruets are pre-maker's mark. All three are pictured and described in"The Big Book of Fenton Milk Glass" by John Walk, on page# 40. The large cruet is 5 inches tall, and is 6 inches tall with the stopper. This cruet is 4 1/4 inches across. The smaller oil cruets are 4 inches tall(4 1/2 inches with the stoppers) and are 2 1/2 inches across. Three nice serving pieces.all with the original stoppers(hard to find!
