Revolutionary Pre Civil War Colonial Shoe or Boot Buckle Large Size 4 Piece
Made of 4 individual moveable pieces! The large outer frame is silver plated brass with simple primitive engraving 5 sets of 4 hash lines on each side and 2 lines at each pivot point. The smallest inner double attaching claw is also brass and with a dark patina. The remaining two moving pieces are iron. Somewhat rusty but freely moving on the pivot. I'm certain they would clean better if necessary. There is a slight bend in the larger inner iron moving piece(one without teeth) 3 inches by 2.75 inches.
