I powered it up, and as the cutter head was moving back to the home position, it acted like it hit a bump and stopped. Now, the plotter won't power up.you just hear a slight"squeak" then nothing. This is a Roland PC-12 vinyl printer/cutter. This unit powers up then a flashing light comes on. I do no know how to fix it. It missing the top cover. It was lost by previous owner. But the unit worked fine without it. It does not have the cutter, nor the cutter holder. Is is missing the cutter holder thumb screw. The small tack switch beside the power button needs replaced, but the power button works fine. A few minor repairs that I never seem to have time for. I have been distracted with other projects and sadly have not had the time to truly learn the cutter and its many uses. This cutter has hardly been used except to follow tutorials. I have ten extra blades. The pen holders, the additional embossing and engraving tool as I mentioned and a whole bunch of other goodies. This Maxx24” was the widest and most powerful cutter that Accugraphics sold except for the MaxxAir 24” which replaced it and sells for 1199. I bought this to letter my loaners cars because of the cost. The down side. I'm to busy and don't have time to learn how to use it. It does the print test and I have made a couple small things the program has in it. I have no clue with the program I bought how to run and how to work all the settings. I'm thinking I should have got another program to run it. NO SOFTWARE IS INCLUDED. I'm not sure it would work for you? It said I could put it in all my computers. But it knows my main computer and won't let that happen I have also cut stuff for my race car. Or should save tried. Roland Camm-1 CX-24 - 24 inch Vinyl Cutter/Plotter *FREE SHIPPING*
I am selling my trusty vinyl plotter. Model Roland CX-24. This is similar to the GX-24, but I have been told it is more reliable. The plotter has a 24" wide area for your vinyl to run through, and will accept rolls or pieces. The unit is a little rough, had a printed piece go through before the ink dried all the way, and it left a purple stain below the cutting area. I recently replaced the cutting strip. As those wear out over time. Probably time for a new blade(cheap) but I will include the one it has now as well as a ball point pen accessory. Included is the plotter. I purchaced this cutter in 2002. It has only been used 20 or 25 times since I have owned it and now its just taking up space. It worked just fine. But I'm selling it as is. I have the operating manual and the CD Rom with drivers that came with it. This is PC software. Depending on your OS. You may need to update drivers from Graphtec. It comes with the floor stand as well. I also have FlexiLetter 7.6(on Flashdrive) and the USB key to operate the software. The original CD Rom with FlexiLetter got seriously damaged awhile back. But SA International gave me a recent download version of my software. I have the manual for this as well. You can design your vinyl cuts in programs like Illustrator or CorelDraw. As I understand it. There are plugins for Illustrator so you can use the cutter strait from that program. Do not quote me on that. I ... moredon't know that as fact. You can check at I also have pens that came with it if you want to use it as a plotter. Though. They are kind of old and I don't think I have ever used them. You will need a printer cable to connect it to your computer. It may also need a new blade. But you can get those from vinyl distributors or online. I made stickers with this. Windshield banners etc. But you can make signs. Window lettering and so on. If you live withing a few hundred miles of me. I may be willing to meet you half way. If I think of anything else I will add it here. Please understand. And this is the most important thing, if I don't sell it I'm not out anything. Like I said. It's just taking up space. We had this cutter for 7 years. It was brand new when we got it. We just upgraded our ecosolvent printer and cutter as a set. This cutter used to have the option to print/cut but the ARMS sensor is needs to be replaced. You can still just vinyl cut with it. Works great! Thank you for looking.
