Vintage 1974 B-K Solid Sterling Silver Bull Riding Trophy Belt Buckle
This is a vintage hand engraved sterling silver trophy belt buckle made by B-K Silversmiths. The buckle was won at the Hat 4 Rodeo in Gruver. Texas in 1974 and awarded for third place in bull riding. A portion of the maker mark on the back of the buckle is worn off. It is clearly marked Hand Engraved and Sterling Silver. The buckle is mounted with jeweler bronze trim. The bottom ribbon is engraved G+G Food Liner. There is wear and scratches on the buckle from use and the back bar was replaced at one time but it should hold up fine to wear. This would be a nice buckle to wear or to add to a collection. Interesting 1925 golf trophy consisting of a mesh ball on top of a tee box. The tee box also has a club resting against it. It is engraved H S and 1925 on the front. The front also has light scratches and a small shallow dent. Tee boxes were where sand and water were stored- tees were formed/made from the wet sand mixture. The piece is 5 1/2" high to the top of the ball. The base diameter is 8 1/4" x 4 1/4" It looks like it's silver plated and would need some polishing. U.S. shipping $13.00. It is marked with Diablo’s makers stamp on the back of the buckle and also marked sterling. The front of the buckle is engraved and is mounted with a bronze calf roper. 1930 B.P.O. ELKS GOLF TOURNAMENT SILVER TROPHY PLATTER This auction is for a Vintage 1930 Elks Golf Tournament Trophy Platter I have no idea for certain if this is solid silver. Silver plate, or composite but it real silver either way. Just not sure of the quality. The back is stamped COMMUNITY PLATTER 15958 research that I have done on this I have found that it was made by Oneida Silver in 1929. This platter measures 12 1/2 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches high and weighs 1lb. 5.6oz. This order of Elks#92 is in Seattle. WA and the trophy is for Finalist J.D.Wheeler. This would make a great piece not only for the golf collector but the Elks collector as well. The platter is in good condition for 83 years old. Vintage large silver plated urn or trophy - simple design, nicely proportioned
A simple and elegantly designed trophy/lidded urn in silver plate on copper by the Cavalier company of England. The silver plate is in excellent. Used condition with no scratches, dents or loss on the exterior ~ please note that there is some minor tarnishing(spots) on the interior. It is quite large ~ measuring just over 23cms in height and 17cms in diameter at the upper rim and weighs 555 grams. Old Vintage Diablo Hand Engraved Solid Sterling Silver Western Trophy Belt Buckle 2.185 Troy Ounces or 68 Grams This is from my personal collection of vintage western. Rodeo and trophy belt buckles. The buckle is all original and intact, and in very good used condition. It measures 3 1/2" long and 2 1/2" wide, and takes a belt up to 1 1/2" wide. The buckle weighs in at a solid 2.185 Troy ounces(or 68 grams) The brass horsehead is raised and very detailed, the ribbon brass relief and lettering is well done, the red enamel is in good condition and the hand engraving is superb. The buckle has curved edge sides, and a loop and heavy hinged pin on the back to secure a belt. Trophy reads"TRI-CITIES AWARD" FIFTY MILE RIDE" The back is hallmarked"DIABLO" and"sterling" I have not cleaned the patina ... moreoff as I prefer my silver that way, but it will clean up nicely if you prefer a shine. This buckle has a lot of character. And someone put some serious effort into making it as nice as it is. It's been at my place just sitting in a case; wear it out and enjoy it!
