The SIGNED case back has the date code"M4" for 1964. The dial has some freckling. This watch has a tuning fork movement and when it was introduced it was the most accurate watch you could buy. Accutron 214 backset tuning fork watch,serviced and keeping time
Very popular original model movement(214) of the line Accutron tuning fork watches produced by Bulova from 1960 to 1977( this one is marked N1(1971) on the case) At the time they were introduced Accutrons were the most accurate watches available. The movement is common with the famous spaceview model but with a classic dial. The backset system to set the time is unique to the 214 model giving a very nice simplicity to the bezel. This watch has been cleaned. Fully serviced and is keeping time. The bezel has a normal patina for it's age with no brassing of the gold plating. It is cosmetically clean including the dial and hands. there are some light scratches on the crystal. New battery. Note: the lower left lug is not damaged. There is an undesirable light reflection. The set is a very high quality german manufacture that is in overall very nice shape. There are 5 forks included:C2048 C1024 C512 C256 and C128 and they all sound brilliant. The case contains no tears. It shuts evenly on all sides and the latches work without issue. I painted the uppers doing a poor job. 4.5lbs. Steer is 7 and 3/8 and 120mm travel. It can be raised by removing the internal spacers. It has new oil. starting asking price of $200.00 free shipping.
