I use to test Magnetic field sensors such as Flux gates and Hall sensors. I do not remember ever using this test fixture. In fact. I am almost sure that I never used it because the original bag of hardware is still taped to it. All it does is generates a magnetic field across the opening and it can be rotated 360 degree. That is it. You can apply a DC or AC driver to it for various kind of testing. I seem to remember that it could generate up to a 1/2 Tesla field within its gap. I do not know anything more. I can make assumptions related to another unit that I have and have used that would generate a 2 Tesla field. The physical size and the conductor size seem to be in line for 1/2 Tesla source. The thing is HEAVY for its size. Figures with that much Iron and copper. So. The shipping rate is adjusted accordingly. Oh.
