These North Brothers Bell System braces are becoming a little more scarce as they have become a collectors item. These braces were used by Bell Telephone lineman and installers in the days before portable electric drills. Probably the best heavy duty hand brace you will find. T his brace is in very good condition and has been inspected. Cleaned, and lubricated. Though it does have its share of tool box scars there are no indications of misuse and as the pictures show is a solid tool with good handles and the chuck is in great condition. There are no user names or numbers etched or scratched on the brace. The hard acrylic top pad is supported by a ball bearing suspension system and is in great undamaged condition. The chuck jaws are in excellent shape. They will handle both the older square shanked bits as well as modern round bits.
