Bought this motor new and mounted it up to a blower used in my shop. I ran the blower for less than one minute before turning it off and replacing it with a smaller(3/4hp) motor. I am unable to use this motor as it is way too powerful for my blower and it sounds like a jet plane is taking off out of my shop. Hi there and welcome to the auction for my Petter Diesel AC2 powered 4 KVa generator. The engine starts no problems atall once you've wound it over a bit to prime it first(smokes a bit when first started but settles down after running for a while) Unfortunately. It's not producing power as it should(only making low voltage but the windings are fine) I'm wondering if it's one of the capacitors that's just blown which is causing the trouble- whatever it is I can't see it being anything major to be honest. I would normally strip it down to find out whats gone on but just too busy at the moment with 101 other projects needing done so I'll have to let it go unfortunately!
