The Green& Gold Eagle patches on each arm. Are the Signal Corps patches. The# written by the tag( 5284) is the last four numbers of his army number The jacket is in the"Eisenhower" style. And the pants come with a belt There is one other patch on the jacket. There were some medals on the front of the jacket. The owner told us that he sold these medals previously. Marantz 2238 Signal Meter
This has been taken off of my own Marantz. The Tuning Wheel came out of the frame and only a machinist would be able to fix this problem. Soooo. I'm parting it out. The only problem with my Marantz was on the Fm-Am tuning wheel came when I was getting ready to re-cap it(or replace all of the electrolytic capacitors) I ended up stripping the bolt that attaches the wheel to the frame. Since it's aluminum. It wasn't hard for me to do. It sounded great anyway. But I'm a stickler for detail and the possibility of even 1 bad cap(electrolytic) makes me strive 4 perfection. But that’s me. All the other parts off of this Marantz that are up for sale are going to be easier for the buyer. Since I wont be using the wiring harness on mine. Great antique fire alarm or industrial electric bell. The solid cast brass bell dome measures 6 in. in diameter and is fully polished. But not lacquer coated so it will eventually patina if not occasionally polished. The bell has a great ring tone when operated by hand. The cast iron frame has 90% of its original black paint or Japan coating. Beneath the bell are several gold pinstriped design accents. The windings show electrical when tested with an ohm meter, but the bell was not powered up due to my lack of knowledge on the correct voltage needed. The connecting threaded nuts are working and recently cleaned and oiled. The ringer or clapper has its original tensioning spring and is adjustable There appears to be a makers name in the rear casting. But is not legible due to the heavy coating of black paint.
