This auction is for an 1923 antique singer sewing machine with a case of attachments serial number G0541850. There are some signs of rust on the machine and around the handle. Overall not bad condition though considering its age. This machine was purchased new by an ancestor and has been in my family since. Antique Singer Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine Head Antique Singer Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine Head I found an old Singer treadle sewing machine in a barn sale. I've separated the head from the cabinet and treadle and am parting this out. It was in rough shape as you can tell by the picture. But I've cleaned everything up and taken all the decades of grime off of it. The head is surprisingly in very good condition with great graphics- but I haven't done anything with it mechanically since that is out of my league. Please check out my other auctions for all of the pieces parts that I will be listing from this unit. In this auction you are viewing the sewing head. The model number is GOO85634. I have not done anything to this machine other than remove some of the grime that had coated it. Amazingly enough the graphics were in ... morevery good condition with lots of color. The bobbin plate is missing. I was able to engage the movement by turning the wheel in the back. I would think this would need a thorough cleaning and oiling if you wanted to use it. Of course you could always part it out. But from what I see you only would need to clean and oil this and replace the plate to make this baby sing. There is a gob of white paint on the neck that I didn't want to mess with. It's latex and should come off easily, but I know that everyone cleans things differently and I don't want to mess with the original finish. INSURANCE: Since ebay has taken away the insurance option in the listing. It is up to you to decide if you wish it insured or not. 1911 - Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Cabinet Side Drawer 6 Model 66-16 Red Eye
SINGER TREADLE SEWING MACHINE DRAWERS- RED EYE MODEL 66-116 Up for auction are six drawers and the two internal drawer holders/ cabinets from a Model 66-16 Red Eye Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from 1911. The drawers are made of quartersawn oak. Both the front of the drawers and sides of the cabinets have carved decorative accents. The drawers measure approximately 11-5/8" deep by 4-3/8" wide. The cabinet portions that hold the drawers measure 14" deep by 5-1/2" wide and approximately 14-3/4" tall. One drawer is missing its circular center pull as shown in the fourth photo. Aside from this flaw. The wood has only a couple of minor dents/ dings, and contact paper has been applied to the interior of the drawers. This is a vintage SINGER treadle sewing machine belt shifter. These were used on the cast iron bases to get the leather belt on or off the belt wheel. This one is in very nice condition and includes that all important spring. These original springs are getting harder to find. The shifter was recently repainted. This one came from an 1883 base. That's correct. 1883. The machine serial# was 5,993,230 which goes back over 129 years. This is an older shifter, but they never changed over all the years the treadle machines were made. This shifter will fit any treadle machine no matter what year. If you are looking to upgrade the shifter on your machine. This will be perfect. Antique Singer Sewing Machine 1889 Oak Puzzle Box with Original Purple Velvet
1800s Singe Sewing Machine was sold with one of these accessory boxes. Box is clearly stamped with the patent date— February 19. 1889 and contained the attachments for the Singer Sewing Machine. This fingerjoined box has a wonderful bright honey color. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/3” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up, snaps shut, and is lined with its original burgundy velvet. Velvet is in excellent condition but needs some dusting or however one cleans 100 year old velvet— color is strong and there are no splits or tears. Schmetz discontinued manufacturing needles that fit the Willcox& Gibbs chain stitch sewing machine. These Schmetz needles have the groove all the way up the shaft as required for the machine to slide over the pin in the needle bar. It will fit the older glass tension machine. The automatic and the later electric chain stitch machines. Mirror smooth Schmetz needles glide through fabric and are superior to the original Willcox& Gibbs needles with a dull finish that does not penetrate all fabrics smoothly. Over the years I have used both original and Schmetz needles in my Willcox& Gibbs machines and discovered the problem of using dull finish needles. Especially on some fabrics and layers. Some of the decals have faded but it is still a striking piece with the gold decal on the black body and the silver metal including the ornate face plates. There is some surface rust and it could use a good cleaning. My pictures tell the story of this old beauty! Fabulous as a decorative display piece or repair parts. Doesn't appear to work but I am totally not sure about this machine. I turned the hand wheel and it does move with a little hesitancy after you turn it to some degree to the front and the back but not a full turn. It's rusted and would definitely need work. Here is an 1882 vintage Singer hand crank sewing machine inan end opening mahogany case with a working lock and key. The serial number reads 5278577 which indicates it was madein 1882. It is cast iron andsurprisingly heavy. It sews a perfect stitch with an oscillating shuttle. Youcan see the photo of the stitches it made. The black finish on the machine itselfis a little dull with some wearing away of the finish on the front edge of thefiddle base. I just lubricated the machine and it spins very smoothly. It couldbe fitted into a treadle base because it has holes and a groove to accept atreadle belt. The mahogany case is in good condition with a few wear marks onthe top edges. The key is included. BULASKY 1914 PAT'D Jan 27.1914 PAT. No 1085401, The unit comes to you in used condition. Showing definite signs of age and use wear. This includes some dirt, as well as missing paint and surfacing rust in places. The large rear wheel still has a little play to it but I cannot get the unit to work or turn. This is an Antique Sewing Machine Long Bobbin Winder. It is from a Western Electric sewing machine. But may also fit Eldredge, American, National, Brunswick, Westinghouse and all models with the same"exact" body pictured reguardless of the name. It may even fit some treadle version machines. I have pictured two electric models this fits and what the mounting hub may look like. It has a new rubber wheel. The rubber wheel rides the balance wheel. This part has been oiled and tested and works great. The metal has a fair shine with an aged apearance. The black paint has some wear and is dirty on the backside. It comes with the mounting screw. This is for one Cast Iron Singer Treadle Base. This is in very nice shape especially for its age. Everything moves as it should and there are no cracks breaks or welds. There is some grime and dust build up on it in some of the harder to get spots. The paint has faded in some areas and is worn off on the top of the foot pad and wheels. This is a Nice Antique Singer 27 Sewing Machine Balance Wheel Guard with Screw. It mounts on the right side of the machine over the treadle cord groove on the balance wheel. It came from a 1908 Singer 27 with Sphinx decals. It will also fit a Singer model VS2 with a rectangular base and fiddle-shaped bases. The black paint is semi-flat. The decals are almost complete with some minor wear and oil deposits on gold finish. It comes with the original mounting screw. This is a very good replacement part for missing or worn pieces. Here are two oak Singer treadle sewing machine drawers in their frame. These old drawers were originally part of a treadle sewing machine cabinet and hung under the top work surface. Now they would be an attractive way to organize all of those little desk items. Utensils, pieces of jewelry, or craft items that gather in your home. They have their original ornate brass drop pulls. The drawers with pulls are 15" long. The frame is 5- 7/8" wide. And the drawers without the frame are 4- 3/4" wide. The frame is about 10- 1/4" tal l. These drawers are in very good condition. There is a small spot of missing veneer(about 3/16" x 7/16" See 5th photo) on the bottom back left corner of the upper drawer.
