From a local estate. Here is a used ASPA foot pedal controller from an unknown brand of sewing machine. I think this just got separated from its machine during the auction, it is nice and clean, looks gently used, cord seems fine. Bottom says this is Model U-118/4 from 1993, 95-145 volts, 0.7 amps, with 3-prong plug into the machine. It measures about 9 1/2 by 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 high.Weight is 2 1/2 lbs.The spring was in the same box and appears to connect to the pedal as a return.I really have no knowledge of what it is.As it looks like some sort of govenor also. 99K 1958 Singer Industrial Strength Sewing Machine with Accessories
1958 99K Industrial Strength Singer Sewing Machine Beautiful looking and Excellent working condition You are buying a beautiful USED 99K Singer Sewing machine Serial number EN045005. This machine was professionally inspected. Cleaned and lubed. Nothing internal needed to be replaced and works great. The machine head shows minimal wear and tear with small scratches on the base. The black paint chipped off on some small areas on the electric motor. The light works good, the motor belt was replaced with an original SIMANCO belt, the bobbing mechanism works excellent. The case is the original that came with the machine. But I cannot say is in vintage condition. Why? Because this case sustained substantial damage over the years. But I took the time and effort to save it and brought it back to life. First the burgundy and yelowish netting material ... morethat covered the box was discolored and was tearing away, it really looked ugly and I removed it completely. At one point the top of the box fell off. The latching rivets were damaged and did not held the box securely and firmly. The base that holds the machine also detached from the rest of the box frame. Having described the prior condition of the box. Allow me to describe what I did to the box to fix it. The piece of wood hat holds the machine to the base was reinforced with Gorilla super glue and four screws, it is now stronger that the original design. The two latching rivets on each side were replaced with small bolts and nuts. The frame of the box itself was reinforced with four pieces of 2"X1" poplar wood, Gorilla glue and framing nails. The top of the box was attached to the box with Gorilla glue and framing nails. This top will not detach again with normal use. The whole box was cleaned, and sanded, a coat of Minwax wood finish was applied(English Chestnut 233) Two layers of protective finish were applied. The original covering on the top of the box wasn't removed and it shows a small crack and the stitching holes. The box looks beautiful. But if you a

Sewing machine hand crank no manufactures markings. turn of the century carries a patent number 262023. Measurements 13 inches in length x 10 inches in height A Brief History of the Historians of the early days of the can argue for hours over the simple matter of who invented what is. In many ways, one of the most important machines ever devised. The story really starts in 1755 in London when a German immigrant. Charles Weisenthal, took out a patent for a needle to be used for mechanical sewing. There was no mention of a machine to go with it, and another 34 years were to pass before Englishman Thomas Saint invented what is generally considered to be the first real sewing machine. In 1790 the cabinet maker patented a machine with which an awl made a hole in leather and then allowed a needle to pass through. Critics of Saint's claim to ... morefame point out that quite possibly Saint only patented an idea and that most likely the machine was never built. It is known that when an attempt was made in the 1880s to produce a machine from Saint's drawings it would not work without considerable modification. The story then moves to Germany where. In around 1810, inventor Balthasar Krems developed a machine for sewing caps. No exact dates can be given for the Krems models as no patents were taken out. An Austrian tailor Josef Madersperger produced a series of machines during the early years of the 19th century and received a patent in 1814. He was still working on the invention in 1839. Awesome vintage accessories kit for Deluxe Zig-Zag sewing machine Model 758. Kit is nearly complete with book in excellent condition. Dated 1970. Two corners of box are torn as pictured. Kit is also missing a couple pieces unfortunately. Missing pieces are as follows: 4 sewing needles. 3 transparent drop-in bobbins, buttonhole presser foot, general purpose throat plate. This machine appears ... morein working condition as far as proper movement of parts. The unit appears to be complete without any cracks or breaks to the body. The drive belt is not installed but the needle drives up and down when the hand wheel is spun and the treadle operates. Good looking antique piece. It includes the cabinet that has an ornate Singer marked cast base with rolling wheels. 4 pull drawers and folding top cover. The veneer on the underside of the folding top on the cabinet will need some attantion and is peeling and has chips in it. The ornamental castings on the treadle are attractive and the treadle does rock back and forth. Found in the drawer is a tin parts tin and lid that has accessories inside, Singer No. 66 marked manual and other documents, as well as even more unsorted accessories. Vintage Singer Model No. 20 Child's Motorized Electric Sewing Machine
I have included lots of pictures. It is not the cameras fault that I don't take better pictures. Im just not an expert. This is a nice childs, kids or childrens sewing machine. I have taken quite a few pictures to show how easily the machine comes apart from the electric stand. 1 large screw in the bottom holds the machine in place. The motor is there but I don't know if it works or not. The plug has an exposed wire so I did not plug it in. The machine works just fine without it as I have tried it and the wheel turns just fine. The knob is there. This electric machine dates back to the 1910 era. If you need any further information please ask. I would love to hear from you. Singer "Medium" Model 13 Antique Sewing Machine - 1885
The Singer model#13. Also known as the Medium, is a larger version of the New Family#12 machine and is much harder to find. I have included a picture of a#12 and#13 together so you can see the relative sizes. The bed of the this machine is about 15 3/4" long. The mechanism works well. But can use a good cleaning and lubrication. Shuttle and bobbin are included. The walnut woodwork is all the original finish. The"coffin" top lifts off and also actually opens up on hinges to reveal the simple wooden mechanism to lock it to the machine. Unfortunately. I do not have the key to unlock it, but this could probably be found without too much of a problem. The two serial numbers. 5709577 and 599377 date it to about 1885. The base will be disassembled for shipping. And I will include some instructions for reassembly.
