The unit is in good working condition as I have one other keeper Cushman Service Monitor with good plug-ins I could“borrow” to test the unit I am now selling. This unit is shipped with three IF oscillators installed(one is 455 KHz) and I can’t remember the frequencies of the other two. But they are the higher frequency units 10-ish MHz. This is ... morea crystal controlled unit and has a way big bunch of crystals installed. You are getting everything I got when I obtained this unit. When I got it. The channel select shaft was open(i.e. not connected to the switch) Upon inspection, I found that an easy to access plastic coupling was deteriorated. I fabricated one out of a metal spacer, and it worked out well– but not perfect. You could leave it forever with no problem; you can take the time to fabricate a more correct item. This coupling is in the oven, and no doubt was baked to death. The correct part should be fabricated out of plastic or Teflon or whatever. Main idea is to keep the heat of the oven from traveling past the coupling. You will see. It is easy. And I will give you the original plastic parts(or what is left of it) as well as an engineering drawing I made of it using a micrometer. Oh. And one cool thing: This instrument has an external input so you can use a signal generator and*tune* to any frequency you wish! I think this is a nice feature and will find good use on the work bench of an RF experimenter or amateur radio enthusiast. The Tektronix scope cart is*not* included- but if you wish to own it

This family of analyzers is still one of the most popular and desired examples of it's kind and is still in high demand worldwide. I've had this one for a while now and it has performed flawlessly. It has been calibrated and adjusted per the the service manual including the display parameters. Since I have owned it. It has been used ... moremaybe once or twice a week, never leaving the bench, and I can tell you it is fully functional with no observed issues or abnormalities. Frequency has been checked weekly against a Rubidium Freq Standard and GPS disciplined frequency standard but since it has the High Stability Oscillator option(TCXO) There's really no need, it's always right on. Also, the CRT display on this unit is especially bright and sharp for this type of monitor. It most likely sat in a truck in its past life with little actual run time. For those of you with shop wide 10MHz frequency standard distribution, these units also include a 10MHz frequency reference input BNC connector on the back panel. You are bidding on a very clean IFR FM/AM-1500. I suspect that this CSM only saw bench use as it is in exceptionally clean condition. It tests out OK to the best of my ability. Please see photos of spectrum analyzer. Generate mode, receive mode and tracking generator mode in operation. A photo of an example cable fault test is also shown. The analyzer passes self test and no indication of any problems are present. It has an TCXO master oscillator installed. I am not sure if this is an option or if it is standard equipment. The only known problem with this piece of equipment is that there are a few segments missing in the center of the LCD display. They do not affect the normal operation of the equipment. The missing segments are related to the TONE2 and DUPLEX OFFSET fields on the display. It's easy enough to punch in the desired values ... moreand see what they are. The battery is installed, but it probably needs to be reconditioned. Front panel is nearly in mint condition and all controls are smooth and free of excessive wear. CRT display is bright and sharp. Used IFR FM/AM 1000S Communications Spectrum Analyzer Service Monitor. Powers up and looks to be working somewhat. There appears to be a problem with the CRT focus because It will not show the RF Modulation waves clearly. The intensity knob has to be all the way up for the CRT to show anything. On the bottom you will see that there is a foot missing and it sits a little un level. I have no way to test it's functions or capabilities. There is a speaker inside that can be heard just fine and I see some waves on the readout. When I adjust some buttons the waves change so it appears to function somewhat in different modes. Turning the Horizontal and Vertical knobs doesn't move the modulation on the CRT. To me it seems like a mostly a parts unit but someone good at electronics repair might make a gem out of it. This auction is for a Motorola R2600CHS. A later version of this was just recently sold by General Dynamics as the R2600D series and still supported at the Motorola Test Equipment repair facitlities. This has a new internal Processor Battery. Fan, updated firmware to later firmware V4.01.M01 and the flash updated to include the Advanced Spectrum Analyzer, Tracking Generator and Graphics Screen Print options. Front panel does have some scratches and cracks but does not impact operations. see pictures. This auction does not include a front lid. This auction includes the following accessories: AC cord DC connector kit. VHF antenna Microphone- Scope Probe. Operations Manual CD with scans of service and operations manuals and data sheets.
