Or don't measure anything. Some of them have a base resistance, and then the switches add and subtract like they should, they just aren't zeroed out. Great for a project or class to repair. You can see from the inside pictures that these are pretty simple. And most probably just need a new switch or a new resistor somewhere. These would be great for a maker space or electronics class. I have a United States zipcode(96310) because I live on a military installation. So shipping will be similar, in price, as if shipping from California. The military postal system helps to defer the extra cost. Yet, shipping time frames will be much longer than quoted on the USPS shipping calculator. You should expect something closer to the international shipping time frames. Priority will not get there in 2-3 days; not even close. For example: my recent listings from December shipped(priority) on Jan 4th arrived Jan 17th. Of course this will depend on where you live and which shipping service you choose. Welch Scientific Decade Resistor Box Up for auction is a used Welch Scientific Decade Resistor Box. This item is in fair condition with some cosmetic wear from normal use. There are a few minor scuff marks and scratches on the item but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The dials are all in good condition and the words and numbers are visible. The connections are in good condition with no dents or cracks. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. We connected a volt meter to the item and then turned all four dials to 9. The volt meter read 6 OHM then started to slowly raise. We left the volt meter connected to the item for around 10 minutes.
