There are a total of six drawers with three of them behind the center cabinet doors. The drawers all work perfectly well. And were painted inside in orange for a lovely contrast. The outside was painted in Annie Sloan Chalk paint Antibes and Napoleonic Blue, then waxed with clear and dark wax and ever so slightly distressed on the edges. Antique Pre Columbian Moche Pottery Redware Stirrup Jug Polychrome Paint
Up for bids is a wonderful old Pre-Columbian Pottery Stirrup Jug. It has Polychrome paint. Creamy yellow with red/brown design. It looks to be red clay and has a nice feel to it. I have been let know that this Jug that I bought at a estate sale was not Native American like I thought it was! I knew it looked old, I just did not know how old! After looking on the internet, I feel quite sure it is a Pre-Columbian Stirrup Jug as was suggested to me. It has wear and chips around the lower base and one on the upper lip. There is one tiny chip(shown in some pictures) that was loose and has come off and someone has drawn with pencil on the base. This pot came from a wonderful old estate on Lake Superior. This item is from the Littlestown. PA foundry, but I don't know much more about it. It is in excellent condition. Total of 4 pieces. One horse, one buggy, one driver, and one passenger. Reins are in good shape but do not connect to the driver's hand.also. As pictured in photo 11(last one) one of the leg connectors is missing from the horse(where the buggy structure is fastened into the side of the horse) It isn't noticeable but I want to mention it on here. The red paint on the cap and black on the body is still bright. Glossy and virtually all intact. The shaker looks like it is a two-cup. It is about 8-¼“ total height, including the cap. The paint does have an occasional minor. Tiny scrape here and there, both on the red and the black. This is minimal. There is a touch of soiling or dust in the crevice around the bottom of the cap and an occasional, light soil speck as well. The aluminum top has light overall spots and soiling and needs polishing though everything displays well. Primitive Paint Brush Turned Wood Handle & Horsehair Bristles Vintage
Up for bid is a vintage primitive paintbrush that has a turned wood handle and horsehair bristles. It measures approximately 12" long which includes the 4" long bristles. Bristles are still soft and bend easily. The handle is very sturdy. But there looks like there's wood putty at the end of the handle. Don't know if it's part of the manufacture?
