Marshall's Photo Oil Colors Hobby Set of 20 Paint Tubes w/ Extras One Owner
I bought this set at Pearl Paint on Canal Street in NYC. You can see from the second picture that it originally cost $89.95 reduced to $71.96. This was in the mid 1990's and I used it for a few months. But then went on to other things. I did some hand colored photos I am still proud of. The last two photos are examples of my work. The set is still usable. The tubes of paint are soft. But you may have to puncture the hardened"skin" just under the screw on caps with the enclosed metal pick. This will get the paint flowing. The PM solution is almost gone and the marlene is gone. I was reading the instructions(enclosed) And it seems the extender can replace the marlene. The"PMS" is not really necessary. You will also need toothpicks, cotton balls, and Q-tips. Also, remember to work on matte photos. This medium will not ... morework on a glossy surface. This technique is so much fun! I hope someone else will get the satisfaction I did.

this is a vintage marshall's photo-oil colors introductory set from the 1960s. it contains 4(not 5) tubes of permanent/ transparent oil color in 4 colors: cadmium yellow. Flesh, chinese blue and verona brown. it comes with three wooden picks. Long-fibre cotton, a metal skewer, a bottle of prepared medium solution, instructions and a postage-paid postcard for a free practice print. the 4 main paint tubes have been opened. And appear to be hardened with time, making them unusable. the cotton and the PM solution appear untouched. in addition to the set. Portable. Art studio in a nice wooden carrying case. It's about the size of a large brief case. Case measures approximately 18" by 12 1/2" by 4" and weighs 9 1/2 pounds. It lays flat when opened up and two tiers extend to expose 4 shelvs of art supplies. This one is not marked for the manufacturer, the pieces say only"art studio" but I'm pretty sure the manufacturer is Battat. There are 165 total pieces inside the case including: 39 colored pencils 31 felt markers 10 paint brushes 54 pieces that look like chalk. I think they're watercolors 31 tubes of paint which include oil. Acrylic and watercolor We found this kit at an estate sale in San Diego. California. It's recent vintage. Condition: Total of 165 items inside the wood carrying case. Some items from the original set are missing. Others have been ... moreused. All of the paints tubes are still soft. I tried 4 tops. They all unscrewed easily even two that were a little goopy around the top. A few scrapes and scratches on the wooden case. The metal clasps have superficial rust. All questions are welcomed. Hello. And Thanks for stopping in! ANTIQUE LOT 3 OIL or KEROSENE LAMPS All of them appear to be functional. They all could use some sprucing up. But since they are antiques I'm leaving that to you, and I've only dusted them up a bit. None of them have lamp shades. The details are the following: 1) Painted molded glass in a pretty medium-sized floral repeating pattern rendered in a relief with a bronze-tone patina. Some of the paint has worn off evenly. And I think that makes it even more beautiful. The two-part threaded caps both screw on and off easily. No dings, dents, or chips. There's a used dirty wick inside almost 3" long that fell down, but can be easily fed back inside, and should be usable. The interior is clean. All you need is some oil; 2) Pyrex clear molded glass with smoothed-off faceted edges with its main area ... morein almost-complete diamond shapes. There's a full-sized used wick inside. The cap screws off and on smoothly. No dings. Dents, or chips. The interior is clean. All you need is some oil; and 3) I believe this lamp is made of tin with a copper tone finish. Or perhaps a combination of both. It's very lightweight. There's some oxidation throughout, but some metal polish would spruce it up nicely.although it may be best to keep its rustic look for display, or if you use it, it's one you can use outdoors or on the patio. There's a few inches of wick inside. The oil well is very clean. There's a finger holder. The lamp can be rocked back and forth with its hardware. Other information: Please know I'm not an oil or kerosene lamp expert. But I always research everything I sell. I'm not sure of their age, but in browsing other ads I believe the two glass ones date in the 1940's- 1950's era, and the one in gold closer to the 1940's. Both have seams, and are molded glass. The Pyrex one I believe is closer in the 1950's era. The tin one I am not sure at all. There are no markings except for the Pyrex one. I was curious what the difference is

Up for auction is a very great estate sale find of winsor and newton oil colours I have no knowledge but the gentleman told me his late wife was an artist many decades ago. The tubes all look fully full. Some are barely used or not even used at all. The London oil colour orange box is new wow and is a 122ml tube(see pics) the thin brush looks new aswell and the butte knife looking tool which says 300 made in japan on it looks new as well. The vintage linseed oil bottle looks either new or barely used and the rectified turpentine looks used(see pics) all tubes say made in England both bottles say made in USA. These tubes are soft not hardened at all. And look like they are ready to use. I have no knowledge of paint but some say series 1 series 2 and series 3.see pics) I do my know how old this lot is.
