This classic Victorian-era Tool Box is made out of solid oak wood. There are seven(7) drawers and all of the drawer slides are present and in excellent condition. Quality made in the USA In Leyroy New York. The item measures 20" W) x 8 1/2" D) x 12 3/4" H) This is a very nice vintage oak tool oak box in original condition with a medium/dark oak stain finish color. The front door locks is removable. Is in great shape with its original interior felt, and locks in place with the lid down. The lid has six slide-in-place tool holders. The square mirror molding in the center of the lid is missing as is half of the mirror frame. The felt has light wear(see pictures) The leather handle is original and has significant cracking. This chest has antique locking metal clasps(two in front and one on each side) and a lock in the front. There ... moreare no keys for the lock but the unit is obviously currently opened. This gorgeous piece was produced by Union, a fine furniture manufacturer. The condition of the Tool Box is secure and sturdy, with some imperfections here and there proper to its age and wear& tear. There are some minor visible scratches on the front and some aging discoloration on the metal corners and clasps. Overall, the unit is in pretty good shape. The logo on the front drawer is fairly worn but you can definitely make out the Union Leyroy markings. Will ship via UPS Ground for $30.00. Insurance will be additional. quality made by a Toolmaker or made for that toolmaker.this is solid oak all the way around.no veneer.drawers including side and back are oak.drawer bottoms look to be some other wood.this is 18" by 8 1/4" deep by 13 3/8" tall.felt is original and has stains/wear.felt is rated at 3 of 10 with 10 being the best.no key. leather handle has some wear. one of the panel holding pins is missing.has your typical wear of a vintage box.opens and closes and secures nicely.has a very unique design as the compartment on the right side of the box is not a drawer but has a front panel that slides above that storage area.you can see that in the last picture of the listing.UPS shipping quote includes $5 handling(Will be protected with 2" foam) I will combine. $1 handling per Ebay auction)rs. Antique Lufkin H Gerstner Oak Machinist Tool Box Chest 7 Drawer Saginaw MI This tool box measures 20" long. 9 1/2" wide and 12 1/2" tall. Box wood has great antique patina. All latches, hinges, drawers, knobs, mirror trim, chain, clip, ect are in tact and in proper working order. The sliding flip up door is a little loose on the bottom but still locks correctly when the top is suppressed. The leather handle is original. It has some rips and wear but it is sturdy enough the box can still be carried by it. There is no key. Please review detailed photos for condition details. Any questions please feel free to ask. Made by Gerstner in the USA in the 1960's or 70's.well cared for set.has a nice Gerstner cover.felt is the characteristic red that was used in the larger Gerstner sets.main box is a Gerstner 062 and it is 26 by 10 1/2 deep 16" high.no key.felt is immaculate in the top compartment.has some staining in some of the drawers.base is 27 1/2 by 11 1/2 deep by 9 1/2 high.felt is clean but has some fading.base has its key and working lock.I'd rate felt overall in this set at 7.5 of 10 with 10 being the best.Has nice vintage Gerstner labels.and finish has aged nicely.no damage anywhere on the oak other than a couple of light scratches. $150 fixed rate UPS shipping to the Continental USA only(excluding Alaska.
