This is a Wavetek model 750 phase meter. Designed for accurately measuring the phase difference in degrees between two different AC signals. It has a five digit Nixie tube display, and the measuring range is 10Hz to 2MHz, with voltage inputs from 1mV to 340V rms. Accuracy is 0.1% and the amplitude ratio between the two channels can be up to 1004:1. There is also an analog output of-10mV per degree of phase. Unfortunately, the input B volts range button cap is broken off, but rest assured that the switch itself still works perfectly when pressed with a suitable plastic rod or pen cap. The missing button cap is not difficult to obtain and replace. This instrument also of course includes the special rounded rectangle type 163 power cord which is difficult and expensive to obtain. Vintage NAKAASA 4735 Price type AA water current meter complete cased & working
This auction is for a really scarce type 4735 water current flow metering device that is designed for use with a wading rod so as to measure the water speed at a defined height in a stream or other body of flowing water. Made by the NAKAASA company of Japan somewhere between 1947 and 1965 and essentially the same as the modern type USGS type AA current meters offered by the specialist USA firm Rickly Hydrological Company; I cannot find any trace of NAKAASA now and these are stickingly similar so maybe Rickly bought them out? Anybody who works in environmental or hydrological surveying will know what this contraption does and how to use it but essentially. It is a beautifilly made instrument in heavily chrome plated metal which has a rotating six cup wheel with an electrical once per revolution contact device to measure the speed of the water ... moreand a pivot and tailfin to allow it to always be in line with the direction of flow. It usually mounts on a wading rod which sits on the stream bed and so defines the height at which the water flow rate is being measured and it has a battery case accessory with a sounder in one end and two terminals at the other which. When connected together, make it sqauwk! This is connected to the AA curent meter's terminals and once per rev it beeps. There are other accessories in the wooden case including a base plate( which has an integral pulley. A rod mounted adjustable height pulley, a rod mounted adjustable height locking or safety device, a specially made cotton type miniature rope with end attachments for setting the measurement height and*automatically maintaining it, the terminal ended wire and even a jeweller's screwdriver to adjust everything. This device is made to a very high standard and the bearings. Supposedly of tungsten carbide( and other parts are nearly all adjustable. The tailfin can be detached if required. I believe the pulley arrangement is so that the device can automatically measure at a defined depth below the water surface if required. I have taken

Here we have a RCA Type WV–77A Junior VoltOhmyst Test Meter. Seems to be in complete condition besides the case screws are missing. The ground wires insulation is cracked and would need to be replaced. The probe has seen better days but seems to still operate as the only test that I could do was to clip the ground to the probe and check via the ohms setting. The ohms adjust works. You are viewing one lightly used General Radio Type 1602-B UHF Admittance Meter Used to measure FM and TV antennas and transmission lines. The 1602-B is for the measurement of admittance and impedance over a wide frequency range. As a null instrument it can be used to measure the conductance and susceptance of an unknown circuit directly. It can also be used as a comparator to indicate equality of one admittance to another or degree of departure of one from the other. As a direct indicating device it can be used to determine the magnitude of the reflection coefficient on a 50 ohm coaxial line or the magnitude of an unknown impedance for ratios of output voltages read on a meter. It uses three coaxial lines at right angles. One terminated by the unknown admittance and the other two terminated by a pure resistance and a pure rectance. Sampling ... moreloops in the three lines are connected in parallel, and when the loops are adjusted to produce a null the parameters of the unknown are displayed.
