Rycom 6040 Selective level Meter VLF Receiver 300 hz to 3.5 MHZ
Up for auction is this very nice VLF receiver. Model 6040, made by Rycom Instruments. The instruments is designed to make precise frequency and amplitude measurements of incoming signals from other instrument sources or other signals from antenna systems. Like a spectrum analyzer or EMI receiver. However it makes a great VLF receiver as well. This covers the frequency range of 300HZ to 3.5 mhz. This is as removed from service. It appears to not have been used for years. The internal battery is dead. They are a easily obtained battery and if you need to run it on batteries then you can purchase new ones and install them. The existing battery has not been removed. But probably should be, before you use it. I have hooked it up to a short piece of wire and listened to the local AM radio stations.

R.B. ANNIS CO. POCKET MAGNETOMETER IN LEATHER CASE 5-0-5 GAUSS METER TO MEASURE MAGNETIC FIELD DESCRIPTION You are bidding on a Gauss meter used to measure magnetic fields and was made by R.B. ANNIS CO. It is marked 5-0-5 and is in a leather carrying case that appears to have had little or no use and the meter is in the same condition. I do not know if this is the original case. But the meter fits snugly to the sides and there is about an inch of room left at the top. Also, there is a paper included that decribes the meter and gives some instructions. It was printed by R.B. Annis Co. The meter is approx. 2 1/2 inches in diameter and about 2 5/8 inches in height. The leather case is approx. 2 3/4 inches on its exterior bottom end and about 3 1/8 inches on its exterior top end. The top is wider in order to fil over the rest of the case.
