I bought this spindle for a CNC project. But it's too large. It appears to be in good condition. The aluminum fitting on the top of the assembly has a flat spot caused by poor packaging when I had it shipped to me. The bearings feel OK and the taper in the bore appears OK.

1988 Leadwell MCV-610P CNC vertical machining center Mitsubishi Meldas M0 control with RS232 20 tool changer(not the 16 tool like on a 550! Changer is electro-pneumatic. And it works great! Setup currently for BT-40 tools. But can be made to accept CAT-40 by changing the tool pocket holders. You can turn 10 of them on a lathe and then split them into halves to fit the tool changer. The spring fingers are in good shape. again, replacements can be made easily if one breaks) 10 horsepower. Belt drive. 6,000 RPM AC drive! X=22" 610mm Y=16" 410mm Z=20" 500mm Table is 33" X 16" Half-height guarding. I have done some repair to bring this machine to great operating shape. But I got a bigger machine so here it goes! I have a lot of documentation for this machine. And there are tons of M0 controls in use, it's well supported by Mitsubishi out of Chicago. This machine is very easy to work on and find parts. Leadwell sold 1,000's of these in the states, a good combination of heavy Chinese iron and Japanese electronics. Monitor and buttons work great. Screen is bright and clear. Automatic way oiler and alarm. Air seperator. Cabinets are in good shape, good paint. I have covered the ways in a storage oil spray, so they look dingy but are in good shape. Coolant pans. Georgia Oven MCV Hybrid Vacuum Oven Comes with a manual and what you see in the pictures. If you don't see it. You probably wont get it. Specifications are from Intel& Georgia Oven and may vary slightly due to upgrades. Options, or revisions this unit may or may not have. This was a custom made oven for Intel. I spoke with the engineering who was in charge of the tool and he said it ran great except the coupling from the motor will need to be replaced because there is a rusting issue due to moisture buildup. He said the cost of a re-engineering and replacing it would be around $8000.00 probably. The factory and the maker of the coupling are aware of the issue and he said he would be glad to assist in any way he could to get it rolling. It was used for R&D and bonding of wafers but it had to be removed because they needed the cleanroom ... morespace for more equipment. Licensing for the Watview software to run the temperature profiling would need to be purchased as well. The Engineer also said he never used the turbo pump on the unit or it has little use. The only installation requirements are hooking up the water lines, power lines and an appropriate drain.
