26 Piece Wood Wooden Capital Letters 1 5/16" - 3 5/16" Vintage Letterpress
Bought these from a sale that had a big beautiful letter drawer made by Hartford Mfg I think. It had a lot of these letters in it but the owner set it already sold except I could buy this one extra set of letters. So I did. This is the first set of these I have sold so you need to know if it is for display or if for use if they will work for you in this condition. They are glued together with something. Not sure if they separate or not as I wanted them that way in case it was for a unique display.

I don't know the font name but they are all capital letters and it looks like at least 2 different fonts are present. The actual drawers in the pictures are not included although I will be selling the drawers separately in the future. Wood letterpress type- Script- circa 1940s. This wood type set is 1 5/16" tall. 8 Line. 106 pieces total. Very hard to find wood type in script(cursive) in both uppercase and lowercase letters. Also includes some punctuation. Very nice set. Includes at least one of every single letter and number. Most of which have many multiples. These pieces are in nice shape for use in letterpress printing. The type will be packed securely so the pieces do not tumble around while shipping. This 68 Block set includes all letters that are shown in the pictures. These blocks measure 1 5/16" inch high and the width varies. These vintage print blocks can be used to spell out meaningful text and dates. Perfect for weddings. Anniversaries, birth dates, names, initials or other words. Most vintage printing blocks have not survived as they were discarded and burned when new printing techniques came into place. This is a Set of Letterpress Font Wood Type- 268 Piece Set. 8-line, 96 point wood type, 1 5/16" The last picture shows the two tools I used to determine the size of the font. The pica pole shows 8 picas or lines and the other shows the measurement in inches. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination. You should carefully inspect the pictures and ask questions as you see fit to be comfortable with your purchase. I am no printer or expert in letterpress printing* Upper case and lower case with 2 different sets of number fonts. Both 8 points. Nice used type. Some of the type has been cut to fit print art. The last letter z may be a different size. The wood base has a piece broken off. One of the exclamation marks was cut to make a period letter type. There could be other small defects.
