This Japanese kiwa-ganna. Or rabbet plane, appears to be 30 or so years old. The maker's mark on the main blade is not quite legible. The main blade is laminated, but the chip-breaker seems not to be. The body has general wear. Dustiness, and staining, but there is no significant structural damage. The main blade has general wear. Some smooth, dark spots where oxidation was cleaned off, and the pointed end of the cutting edge has lost its very tip, but there is no significant damage. The chip-breaker is also in basically good shape. Overall. This kanna appears to be quite usable, but may need some cleanup and corrections.
