Hello Everyone, This auction is for a used. But in good condition Keithley 36150 Radiation Meter Ion Chamber. I purchased this ion chamber on ebay a few years ago and used it in a medical physics setting. I used it at my radiation clinics for vault surveys. The meter was last calibrated on February 16, 2011 and it works great. I just now tested it out at work again and the meter does function as it should. We've never had any issues with this radiation meter and it has always worked so very well for us. This is battery powered, operates on 1- 9V battery. This type of meter is generally used for surveys of either Linear Accelerator, X-ray, CT, or any type of Brachytherapy/Nuclear Medicine type room. This can be used in either exposure mode(200 mR/hr to 20 R/hr) or integrate mode(200 uR/hr to 20mR) There is also a zero and background function. ... moreCosmetically, this is in good shape. There is one small crack(please look at the pictures) in the front corner housing where the screen and dials are, but this in no way impacts the functionality of the unit. This has been sealed with a plastic sealant, the crack will still be there but at least it wont get worse. You will also see two smalls screw holes on one side of the unit, this is where a faceplate used to be, again this wont affect the functionality of the unit at all, but just a cosmetic flaw. The screen is fully intact and functions just fine. The dials are intact and they do work. The internal ion chamber, the front window, and the buildup cap are also intact and fully functional. The meter powers on and will set to the calibration mark but when set to any other point on the dial the meter will peg in one direction or the other or float somewhere in between depending on the setting whether the cables are connected or not, connecting the cables does change how the meter reacts but the meter still does not appear to function correctly.
