Male Ere Ibeji Figure Ila Orangun Early 20th Century Yoruba Northern Nigeria NR
You are bidding on a male Ibeji carved wooden figure which has been authenticated by a collector/ expert of tribal artefacts as being from the first half of the 20th century and from the Igbomina region of northern Nigeria Yorubaland. This figure has a partially eroded and encrusted patina( see photos) and is in original. Unrestored condition with old cracks and wear consistent with authentic tribal use, typical of figures such as this and this type of light weight wood. Ila Ibeji figures are characterised by tall conical hats which often obscure the ears. The face of this figure has wear consistent with authentic tribal use. I.e. this figure is not a modern carving produced explicitly for sale but a true tribal relic that has had real tribal use and is therefore an artefact of true ritualistic and ethnographic significance. Up for sale is my prized JVC DLA-HD950 Projector. This unit was installed in a NYC apartment. ISF calibrated and used for very few hours. I moved out of the city and the plan was to install it in my new home in a dedicated Home Theater but, plans have changed so I am going to sell it. The advantage to buying this particular projector over any other is the following: 1. Because it was briefly used. You can be certain it has no dead pixels or issues. If you buy a"brand new" one, if there are problems out of the box then you will be without the PJ for a LOOONG time while JVC repairs it. 2. I spent $1000 to have the projector calibrated for ISF day and for ISF night. You still have all of the stock picture modes but. The ISF modes are the most accurate and WAAAY better than the THX mode. 3. It is the cheapest one on ebay and my feedback ... moreis perfect. Ich verkaufe hier meinen neuwertigen JVC DLA-X7 D-ILA 3D Heimkinoprojektor mit THX3D display Zertifikat. Aus beruflichen Gründen muss ich andere Prioritäten setzen. Weshalb mein kleines Heimkino etwas heruntergefahren wird. Der Projektor ist ohne jeden Zweifel der beste. Den ich kenne. Er war mein siebter Projektor(nach JVC DLA-HD750 und diversen anderen High-End-Geräten ähnlicher Preisklassen) und hat mich so überzeugt wie bisher keiner. Die Helligkeit ist wirklich super. Schärfe und Kontrast sind einfach umwerfend. Ich hatte beim Kauf die Möglichkeit ihn gegen einen brandneuen X35 zu testen. Mein Fazit ist denkbar: Der X35 ist nur im 3D-Modus annähernd gleichwertig. Im 2D-Modus hat er keine Chance! Die Farben sind einfach satter. Das Bild wirkt schärfer und plastischer. Die Bewegungen sind gestochen ... morescharf, fast wie bei einem DLP-Projektor! Zudem hat er noch so einige Funktionen, beispielsweise die ISF-zertifizierte Farbanpassung und eine stufenweise verstellbare Zwischenbildberechnung. Das Objektiv ist selbstredend motorisch in Zoom, Fokus und Lens-Shift einstellbar. Er hat in mir seinen zweiten Besitzer gefunden. Erstbesitzer war ein selbstständiger und sehr erfolgreicher S teuerberater aus Köln. Welcher auf den Sony VPL-VW1000ES(UVP 19.990 Euro! umgestiegen ist. Den Projektor konnte ich mir vor nur fünf Monaten für einen Freundschaftspreis von 2900 Euro inkl. Emitter und zwei Brillen sichern. Damals kostete er eigentlich noch einige Hundert Euro mehr. Die UVP des Herstellers betrug stolze 6.990 Euro! Den Projektor habe ich selbst in Köln abgeholt. Und durfte mich von der gut situierten Wohnung des Erstbesitzers überzeugen. Der X7 ist seit dem ersten Tag in bester Hand. Bei mir hing er an einer extra angefertigten Deckenhalterung von RosemannSteelArts. I've also used it with Faroudja and DVDO scalers(listed in my other auctions) playing Standard Definition material and the results are just fantastic. One of the things I love from this projector is how thin the pixel lines are. So much so that at only a couple of feet away from the screen. They become in distinguishable in the picture achieving a film like image. Color and saturation are beautiful. I've used it for movies, concerts and HDTV. Idaho, the town changed its name four years later because it was not getting mail due to not being recognized by the Post Office system. Named Ilo, after the daughter of town founder, W.O. Leggett, the town burned down in 1904, After being bypassed by the Camas Prairie Railroad, The town was moved to the southwest side of the new railroad tracks o[osite the new town platted by Lewiston financier Jhn Vollmer(named- Vollmer) After a decade-long fued between the towns and much argument on which town shuld be the primary city, the two school districts consilidated and the communities merged in 1920 tobecome the current city of Craigmont- still not a major metropolis, having a polulation estimated in 2012 at 511.
