We renovated our basement and bought this and had readings of about 37 pci/liter. When we would leave the windows open a few days it would drop down into the 20's. After a mitigation system was installed it went down to.5 and doesn't move much. So I'm quite satisfied. Both with the system and this device's ability to measure changes in radon level. That being said if you are a professional or want to use this it does need to be re calibrated by the company every couple of years(check with them, I'm not an expert) to be used that way. There are subtle nuances you should be aware of. The unit will not display a value for 48 hours after first being plugged in or reset. If it reads a high level it will chirp a siren like a smoke detector. That can be disabled but not until the 48 hours is up and it displays a reading. It shows both short and long term readings(48 hours and some longer value) but will not display the short term reading if the long term is over some value, IIRC 4.0. Also, with one menu button resetting and changing settings is a bit of a hassle. Read some reviews on Amazon and know what you are getting. As people feel strongly for or against this product. In my experience I would have gone through a half dozen charcoal test kits at 20 bucks per and had the hassle of mailing and waiting(and hoping) This was a lot easier to use to decide we did need to mitigate and as a verification the system was working. It was also interesting to see the values on the first and second floor of the home where we sleep(which were all over 4.0 in the winter) If you have any questions let me know. Electone Hearing Aid with open fit tube and dome - strong tel-coil
This is a reconditioned Electone Hearing aid. It looks and work like a new hearing aid. It has a maximum gain of 50 decibels and output of 126 spl(sound pressure) Has a SPL adjustment and frequency adjustment. These adjsuments can be set by the user with a small screwdriver. This will work for a moderate to severe loss. It also has a telephone coil and t-coil switch. This aid is not digital. It has a"Push-Pull" or class B amplifier and takes a size 675 battery. The telecoil is strong on this aid. It will work well with the telephone on a hearing loop(induction loop) I can also send it with an ear hook so it will work with an ear mold. Bone Hearing Aid Trumpet/Horn
This is an unusual and attractive hearing trumpet/hearing horn fashioned out of bone or animal horn. It was purchased in Canada in 2001. It is over 11" long and the bell is nearly 3" wide. The horn is in excellent condition and shows the numerous striations and markings inherent in the natural material. At the widest points of the bell opening. There appear to be two very small, short cracks of about 1/2" However, these do not appear to go through to the inside of the bell. Also, there is a small crack at the top of the horn where the ear piece attaches(see photos) I believe that they are simply natural stress lines along the natural striations of this material.
