It is now equipped with an SPX air over oil pump rated to 3200 PSI. There is a 3000 PSI gauge on the press. At 3000 PSI the press would generate 42 tons. To get full tonnage requires approx 100 PSI of air pressure. Clamp cylinder is 6" bore with approx 6" max stroke. The daylight between the platens is approx 10" The electrically heated platens are 13" x 13" and rated to 600F(2400 watts each) The press speeds are approx 3 IPM closing and 1 IPM opening. There is a pendant control with close/open buttons. Two Watlow temperature controllers. Here is a used Dahlstrom 4 Post. High Speed Cut Off Press. It was running in production when removed from service and put in storage. It is a 8 Ton Press with 2-1/2" of Stroke and 4"6" of Die Space. It has a 2 HP motor and runs at 300 RPM Flywheel speed. It is setup for 480 volt AC operation. It is about 9-1/2" between posts in the CD direction. The top platen is about 15-1/2" x 14-1/4" There was some damage to two conduits from removal. Ingersoll Sargent Horizontal Wheel Press, S/N 7513
For Auction- 1- Horizontal Press. The tag says Ingersoll Sargent Drill Company. SN 7513. This press was removed from service at least 2 years ago. We moved it outside about 1 year ago. The machinest says he thinks it is a 300 ton press. He also said that the hydraulic unit is"no good" that it builds up pressure and works but it leaks and needs rebuilt. I suspect that anyone planning to buy it should plan on finding a new hydraulic power unit although you are welcome to take this one. There is no electric motor on the hydraulic unit. The operating condition is unknown but the unit looks pretty complete overall. There is some bunged up looking cutting and welding on the cylinder surface that contacts the item being pressed. 49.000 lbs of force from 95.7 psi air pressure. Controls run on 115 volt. Total stroke is 4.47" The high pressure comes in on demand with approximately.750 in stroke at the 49.000 lb rating. I have to call the manufacturer to get the low pressure advance rating. Daylight is 14" the adapter in the picture takes up 3" if you use it. The table is 16 3/4" wide and 17 1/4" front to back. I did repaint the white part of the press frame. The last picture shows it before painting. I'm just to picky on the way things look. Has a programmable controller. Haven't a clue how to program it. 90 Ton Industrial Electric Heavy Duty Press w/ Enerpac Power Unit For sale is this used 90 Ton Industrial Electric Heavy Duty Press w/ Enerpac Power Unit. It is overall in pretty good cosmetic condition with the normal scuffs and scratches from use. Both units look like they have been painted within the last couple of years and the paint is in good shape overall. The 90 tons was estimated by the previous owner of the press. See photos below for more details on physical condition. We directly wired up the hydraulic unit to our 240V 3-Phase power. We did find that the electric overloads are bad. So we bypassed them for testing. After hooking up the electrical and hydraulic we were able to us the unit properly. The ram went up and down based on the control. When at the top of the ram the gauge would show up to about 6000 psi before we shut it ... moreoff. We were told that the unit had a couple of minor leaks and while we did find a little fluid here and there I didn't see any major leaks at all during our running. I ran the math on a 6" diameter cylinder and 6000psi and it comes out to about 85 tons. So the 90 tons estimate that I got seems about right. Lot of machine handles mill lathe drill press cabinet Bridgeport Hardinge style
Up for sale is a group of used machine handles. The longest one with the ribbed knob may be a Bridgeport style quill handle. It has a 1" hole in a 1.75" OD ring with a 3/16" drive pin in the one face. We no longer have a Bridgeport here to check it on so I leave the determination up to the buyer on this one. Also included is a straight handle about 6" long on a 3/8" shaft. Threaded on the exposed end with a 1 3/8" ball on the other end. Not sure what it was off of, perhaps an old Clausing or Powermatic drill press? Last item looks like a cabinet lock handle. It has a 5/16" square opening in the end that secures with a setscrew.
