Vintage Gerstner Machinist Toolbox Tool Chest
For your consideration is this Vintage Gerstner Machinist Tool Box This vintage toolbox measures approximately 20" in length. 9 1/2" in width, and 13" in height. CONDITION: This vintage toolbox is in fair condition. It comes with a wooden piece that may either cover the drawers or slide into the bottom compartment to reveal the drawers. This cover does not stay in place because of a chip in the wood where two pins are meant to attach. The toolbox has several other small chips elsewhere on the box. The drawers all slide in and out smoothly and are in good condition on the inside. With the original felt padding still intact. The original square mirror is still intact. The metal latches to open the top compartment are fully functional. The original handle on the top of the box is intact and functional. A red sticker reading"fragile" ... moreis affixed to the front of the box. Several numbers have been written on the back of the box along with a paper label. All tools have been removed from the box and will be sold in seperate auctions. However, some memorabilia remains in the uppermost compartment of the box. H.Gerstner & Sons Model 18 Tool Chest
Here is a H.Gerstner& Sons later model#18 tool chest with the phenolic handle that is in excellent original condition. Approximately 16" long by 9-3/8" wide by 15" high. It has 10 drawers and and 2 folding trays. There are 3 corrugated stainless steel tool tray liners in the top. The drawers have stainless steel bottoms and are lined with green felt. The oak drawer faces are like new. The chest and drawers have seen little or no usage with the only apology being the previous owner lightly etched their initials on the top of the four metal corners. There is no other damage with only a few small scuffs on the leatherette. I believe this may have been produced for use by dentists however it would make a great display chest for any trade or collection. There is no key for the lock.

All latches, hinges, drawers, knobs, mirror trim, chain, clip, ect are in tact and in proper working order. The sliding flip up door is a little loose on the bottom but still locks correctly when the top is suppressed. The leather handle is original. Vintage Oak Machinist Tool Box-Jewelers box Gerstner 11 draw craft shows
Up for auction is a vintage Gerstner Oak Machinist Tool box or Jewelers box. It is marked Gerstner on the lock(key included) and built by H. Gerstner& Sons. Dayton Ohio#443 is stamped inside under the last drawer. It measures 16 inches high, 26 long and 9 1/4 inches wide. The box is structurally perfect with no breaks, cracks or missing pieces. The finish could use a going over. The handle is very strong. I carried it full of tools. Some of the green felt could use replacing. It has 11 drawers. These are great for collecting your prize fishing lures, jewelry, tools or craft supplies.

Gerstner Tool Chest, extender base, walnut, WB42
Gerstner Master Craftsman walnut extender tool chest base. 21 1/2" x 10 3/8" x 9 1/2" with locking front cover that stores under the big drawer. 5 drawer total. Base is in great shape with some scuffed varnish on top locating rails and green baize slight pilling on top and a fade on baize inside cover. Two keys for cover lock included. Tool chest is generally set on top of this base to add tool storage. Chrome plated lift handles on both ends. Baize inside drawers is fine.

Made by Gerstner in the USA in the 1960's or 70's.well cared for set.has a nice Gerstner cover.felt is the characteristic red that was used in the larger Gerstner sets.main box is a Gerstner 062 and it is 26 by 10 1/2 deep 16" high.no key.felt is immaculate in the top compartment.has some staining in some of the drawers.base is 27 1/2 by 11 1/2 deep by 9 1/2 high.felt is clean but has some fading.base has its key and working lock.I'd rate felt overall in this set at 7.5 of 10 with 10 being the best.Has nice vintage Gerstner labels.and finish has aged nicely.no damage anywhere on the oak other than a couple of light scratches. $150 fixed rate UPS shipping to the Continental USA only(excluding Alaska.
