New Brunswick BioFlo 4500 30 Liter Fermenter For sale is this used New Brunswick BioFlo 4500 30 Liter Fermenter. It is overall in very good cosmetic condition with a few light scuffs and scratches on the exterior. It includes the manual. See photos below for more details on the condition and what is included. Specifications: Brand: New Brunswick Mfg. SP98306-4500-30L Serial# 990223509 Voltage: 200/240 1-Phase VA: 6000 Max We directly wired up the fermenter to try it out. As there was not a plug on the cord. We wired it up to 110V and the unit powered on, so we aren't sure why it states 240V on the label. The unit immediately powered on when we flipped the switch and it started to bootup. This unit has a built-in computer w/ a touchscreen for control on the front. Inside there is a hard drive and floppy drive. It runs Windows NT ver. 4.00 ... moreOnce it had entered windows it started up NBS local controller interface ver. 2.29 I was then able to navigate through the program using the touchscreen. I'm not very familiar with the unit. But I was able to change a couple of basic settings. I wasn't really able to do anything with the fermenter. As it didn't have anything in it. The fermenter has quite a few solenoids. But it looks to be missing some of the instrumentation wires that would connect to the front of the controller. I did notice that it sounded like one of the solenoids on the fermenter was buzzing fairly loudly while on. I'm not sure why. If there is anything that any potential bidders would like checked out specifically about this unit we can help out with that. From what I can tell. The unit appears to be in basic operating condition. But without actually testing the fermenter in its entirety it is hard to guarantee it beyond our basic testing. Glas-Col TM118 Thermal Reactor For sale- a large Glas-Col Thermal Reactor. I say Glas-Col. As you can see there is a Glas-Col TM118 Heating Mantle at the heart of the system. But I have no idea if they were the ones responsible for putting the rest of this reactor together. It may well be that it was custom constructed and the Glas-Col piece is simply the only thing on it with a brand name other than the H.S. Martin glassware and the Graham Transmissions electric motor. The Graham motor was installed on top of the metal frame when I bought it. But I picked it up in a cube van and the motor had to come off just to fit inside the cube. The metal frame. On casters, measures just under 70 inches tall by 30 inches square. The motor is 1/3 HP and with the right angle transmission attached it is very heavy. So I never bothered to try to get it back ... moreup and mounted on top again. When in place it would turn the plastic(maybe nylon? shaft which as you can probably see terminates in a propeller-style mixer inside the glass vessel. When I put the motor down on the lower frame I didn’t take note that I had it upside down. So it leaked out some oil, pretty thick stuff as I recall. So it will need to be topped off. I did plug it in and it does turn and the speed is controllable with the Graham controller mounted to the frame. That is the extent of my testing and NO warranty is offered. HOWEVER. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. New Brunswick 250 Liter Fermenter For sale is this used New Brunswick 250 Liter Fermenter. It is overall in pretty decent cosmetic condition with some scuffs and scratches on the exterior. It has been sitting outside for a couple of months. Most of the piping is good. But some is missing some paint and has some surface rust on it. The actual fermenter looks pretty good, but we haven't really looked inside of it very well. There are a few speckles of surface rust on the top of the fermenter chamber. See photos below for more details on the condition and what is included. Specifications: Brand: New Brunswick Nat'L BD. 584 Serial# 788 Built: 1983 Capacity: 250L Voltage: 200/240 1-Phase VA: 6000 Max Vessel specs: Max allowable pressure: 40 PSIG Max working pressure: 0 psig Max temperature: 300F Hydro tested: 80 psig Jacket specs: Max ... moreallowable pressure: 35 PSIG Max temperature: 300F Hydro tested: 100 psig Included is an attached motor(by wire) for the top that is a Rae 0.5HP 180 VDC motor that spins freely by hand(not tested) Connected to the bottom of the vessel by a belt is a 3HP DC motor that also spins by hand(not tested) I assume for an agitator or similar. On the bottom of the frame is a 0.5 HP 115/230 V pump. Most of the stainless steel is SA240-316 or 304 or 316L. The top moves up and down using a motor built onto the back of the vessel. The motor and gearing turns by hand(motor not tested) But I couldn't move it enough by hand to see if the lid actually would move from the top of the vessel. Includes three Cole-Parmer Masterfles quickload peristaltic pumps mounted next to the vessel(not tested) One big issues is that while the control system is still there in the box on the back. All of the cards in the backplane have been removed and are not included.
