Formula 290 cummins engine aftercooler jake brake low miles unit from 1978 truck
I pulled this 290 out of an old single axle White semi tractor that we bought several years ago from the federal government. Typical of federal surplus stuff, it was a low mile truck, 73,000 actual, but it just got old and ugly so we scrapped it a couple months ago. The engine is a nice runner and the miles are right, so if you can use an old 290 in anything, don't be afraid to bid on this one because there was nothing wrong with it and I just hate to scrap it. This is super cheap if you can use it, but If I can't get it sold, I will pull the jakes and the fuel system off and scrap the rest, so don't wait if you need it. I'm going to leave the allison automatic right on it.
