Rare Earth Ruthenium Indium Oxide Coated Titatium Electrodes
I'm cleaning out my garage and these have been sitting around for way too long. I have several sets of these so if you need more. Just let me know. I bought these several years ago from an industrial supply house that dealt with decomissioned equipment. They came from an"electrolyzer" It was a huge apparatus which turned sea water into bleach. They worked on low voltage direct current and high amperage. I've used them from anywhere between 3 and 24 volts DC. They are very easy to use and almost impossible to damage. You can see small white lines in one of the pictures. These are, I believe, silicone string which keeps the plates separated by about 2mm. When the plates are placed in a salt solution and hooked to a battery(or DC power supply) they generate chlorine gas. The chlorine gas is dissolved back into the salt water ... moreso you end up with bleach. You can make as much as you want for just pennies. These could also be used to make a pool chlorination system. The electrodes are approximately 5" tall by 11" wide. Each individual electrode is U-shaped and a pair slips together. This auction is for a pair of electrodes.

They all have an inside diameter of 2.5" and they range in outside diameter from 10.75" to 11.5" Thickness of 3/8" The discolorazation is not heat treat. I was able to sand it off with very fine paper with minimal effort. The only numbers I found are: wppr1322D1 and 24 in the 11.5" one, and wppr5253C1 and W20 on the 10.75" wheel. This sale is for the lot of 2 electrodes pictured. They are from Radiometer Copenhagen. Were packed away with great care. Electrodes were covered with rubber tubing and then plastic covers. Then packed away in Kapac static bags. Along with the electrodes in box is a good amount of documentation as pictured. Stating the adapter type& electrode type. Please take a look at the photos provided and the documentation pictured. This should give you a clear idea of their use. This is the nicest complete unit I have ever owned. 14 original electrodes. Some of which I've never seen. This unit is in excellent working condition. Box is in excellent condition and has been stored safely for many years. Does have a few small breaks and separation in the wood as seen in last picture. Comes with original manual. Nice crushed purple velvet lining and faux mother of pearl dash. Just a stunning display. There is minor rust on the hardware. Box measures 14.5 wide by 14.5 deep ... moreand 7.25 tall.
