The attachments snap in the chuck without removing the collet nut and are clamped by a ball swivel-joint which permits adjustment to an angular position or true concentricity. The 828B attachment is a ball contact. Which is useful in locating work by first bringing the contact ball(ball diameter.250" against the work. Attachment 828Cis a disc contact which has a small disc at the end(100" in diameter) which permits use in more confined areas such as slots or shallow holes. Attachment 828D is an offset indicator holder that can be used with Starrett Last Word Test Indicators. The final attachment, PT09186, is a point awl that is used to determine true center of the work. This set comes in the original red plastic case. Although this item is used it is still in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures and is ready to use. Up for bid is another one of my late husbands tools. He had quite an extensive collection.most of the tools are Starrett brand. This is a five piece set Starrett Center Finder Complete S-828H. It comes in the original vinyl pouch. It appears to be in good working condition. Please note that my late husband used to etch or mark the tools with his initial name or other identifying marks.
