French Colonies: Syria/Lebanon This is a rare lot offered to the most knowledgeable collectors of French Colonies/Lebanon/Syria/Levant postal history and stamps. 1923 Syria/Syrie Yvert No. 90b in Green Unissued Variety: 0.50 Piastre error instead of 50 Centimes which was actually issued. The stamps showing the denomination in a fractional form(0.50) were printed but never issued. According to a reference source close to the Postmaster at the time of the issuance. All except three panes of 50 were officially destroyed. I believe there could have been more although the exact number is not known. Block of 16- Probably the largest block known to exist. CSA #14, MINT SUPERB NH BLOCK OF 4 HISTORICAL 1CENT CALHOUN STAMPS W/COA RARE
C SA#14. Mint SUPERB NH BLOCK OF 4 GRADED VF by H J Harris& Co The 1¢ Calhoun stamp is an important part of U.S. history. CSA#14 features John C. Calhoun of South Carolina. Vice- president under John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. An advocate of slavery. Calhoun argued that each state was self-governing endearing him to the Southern States and earning him a place on the new 1¢ postage stamp. There were only 400.000 of these Confederate States Of America stamps printed and most of them are either destroyed or damaged or were just plain lost with the passing of time. Their are even less left in"block" form. Most that are left are just"singles" for this extremely rare very low mintage issue. It is estimated that there are maybe just a"handful" left for collectors to acquire and when found. Collectors ... moreare locking these very rare and valuable stamps in their PERMANENT collections. As this happens these stamps are getting even more valuable. And it is almost impossible to find any of these Civil War stamps around for any collectors to acquire. Because of all this. These stamps are very expensive when found and are getting even more so. Even the"single" stamps are very expensive and difficult to find. Let alone this very rare and valuable four block set. Extremely desirable. Rare and valuable is this 1862 Scarce Unissued Block of four CSA#14, Confederate Stamps which were Printed Over 152 Years Ago. New York City Stamp and Hobby Dealers are selling these in"singles" for $185 and more at the NYC stamp& hobby shops that I visited recently. None had any blocks of these rarities for sale. One NYC dealer told me he sold a block of four for $1.200.00 plus NYC Tax in July of last year. I cannot express enough. The importance and potential for much higher values of this historic and very important set as time passes. The ONLY place I have seen a few of these blocks of CSA#14 Civil War stamps were here on eBay and even then their were only one or two of these

Rare Superb Gem 1985 $1 FRN Sheet Note, I-D Block Minneapolis Very Tough Note!!!
Today we have a very scarce Superb Gem 1985 $1 Federal Reserve"sheet note" from the district of Minneapolis.MN. Noted as a sheet note, as these were originally issued only to collectors in sheets of 4,8, and 32 notes. Very few of these show up even at major currency shows such as F.U.N. A solid GEM note by any of the third party grading services, I personally guarantee this note will cross-over to any service as GEM with PPQ or EPQ designation.
