Hardinge Model F Compound Slide for DV59/DSM/DSC Dovetail Bed Lathes
You are looking at a Hardinge Model F Compound Slide. It fits all Hardinge 3.5 Dovetail bed lathes( DV59. DSM, etc. It came from my 1958 DV-59(RIP) but since the machine spent 30 years as a 2nd op cross slide machine, this compound is in pretty good condition. It does have normal wear and tear, but the levers work smoothly and nothing appears bent. Same for the bed mount, good shape and not bent up. South Bend Lathe Bed 36" for 9" Model A, B,C Benchtop Lathes
Hello you are bidding on a South Bend Lathe 9" 10k Lathe bed the length is 36" from end to end. Restored about 7 years ago was hot tanked and repainted in automotive enamel for easy cleaning and to resist oil staining. This table comes with the lathe bed. Feet, front bearing and model C leadscrew. tailstock side bearing for the leadscrew was needed for the other lathe and is not included with this item. I had the v channels checked before painting by the same machine shop as the headstock and was dont they were strait enough they didnt need any work sorry i dont have a strait edge to check it again presently but since it was never realy used it should still be the same. Why am i selling this? well i never realy never used it becouse shortly after I rebuilt this lathe i got a lathe under bed driven cabinet and converted this lathe ... moreto a model A 10k Lathe. This part is not compatable with the lathe anymore. Buyer is responsible for knowing if this will work for their machine or not. 2 split bed lathes one is a Hardinge Bros Cataract Bench lathe the other is Essley Machine Co. Chicago.both have 32-1/2" bed lenghts. Hardinge cataract crossslide/ compound model 9B for 9" swing split bed lathes. Made in Elmira. NY, so it is a late one. This may be held onto a split bed lathe with either your original T-bolt or with a better holding modern yoke. The height from the bed to the top of the compound is 3.275" The BIN price is for the compound with the yoke. If you prefer to buy it without the yoke, make me an offer of $470 and specify in a message with your offer that you do not want the yoke. The compound has moderate wear commensurate with it's age. Note the inscription on this US Government surplus item. Note some damage in the top corner of the tool holder block. Note also how clean the dovetails are. The compound is fully functional.
