Knox electric Bass Guitar This is a cool 1960's Bass. Made in Japan. An identical Bass, branded Victoria, was featured in last month's Vintage Guitar Magazine as the first Bass owned by Michael Anthony(Van Halen, Chickenfoot) See article pic. 30 inch short scale neck with angled headstock. And beautiful fretboard, looks like Brazilian Rosewood( Lightweight body shows signs of wear. Overall Nice 2 tone sunburst finish is chipped in spots. Bridge is real clean and includes cover that can hold a piece of foam for a mute. One knob is missing. Otherwise complete. Plays well. Sounds good. Set up with old flat wound strings. Kaces gig bag included.

Like the guitar. The SG bass has been one of rock's defining instruments. This reproduction is true to the Gibson original—light, fast, and loaded with a Sidewinder humbucker and a mini-humbucker to give it tonal power, and a set mahogany neck to give it the sustain and resonance that made the original famous. The mahogany front and back of this example are exceptionally well ribboned. This instrument is as clean as any you'll find on the wall at your local retail music store. It has had no structural repairs. It has a couple of very tiny indications of shifting during shipping. This"box burn" is almost universal on high-gloss finishes and less than any instrument would have after the first gig. Nonetheless. This bass just received a complete setup. I have checked and adjusted the truss rod The electronics were tested and ... morework perfectly. Still, the pots and switch received a shot of contact cleaner. The fretboard was a little dry, so it received a conditioning. The frets were polished and the nut slots have been lubed and polished. This bass plays beautifully. The sound is rich. Full and very authoritative. The two different pickups give you a wide array of tones to work with, all of which are very musical. It speaks with a voice that is all its own, Not woody and wooly like a P bass, and not twangy and springy like a Ric. It sits in a sonic world somewhere in the middle, where firm lows with great articulation reside. The tuners are smooth, sure and tight. The bridge is very solid and transfers all of the string energy to the mahogany body. And when combined with the set-neck construction, you have an instrument with excellent sustain. The gloss cherry finish looks great, especially under stage lights. Included with your guitar is a new UnionStation USB-8E gig bag. Hello. Here is a nice used tackle bag. It is made by Plano. The color is blue and green, it has faded some. All of the zippers work fine. It does NOT come with the boxes that fit it, the ones in the picture are larger. I am just throwing in those plastic boxes. I am also throwing in a new Bass Pro shops fish scale. The two pockets on the outside are stretched. When they got wet a few times they wrinkled up. There are no rips or holes on the tackle bag. KINGSTON-TEISCO 1960's 25 1/2" SCALE MADE IN JAPAN Hi and thanks for looking.This is a nice example of this vintage bass guitar.It was made in Japan during the 1960's.The logo on this one is Kingston but I have seen a lot of these through the years and they may have a Teisco or Sorrento logo.Same guitar.Different logo.There are NO cracks,breaks or repairs to this guitar.The neck is straight,the trussrod works,the frets are in good shape and the strings are set reasonably low.To give you an idea of how it plays,the 25 1/2 inch scale is the same string length that Fender uses on their guitars:strats,teles,etc.The first time that I saw someone play one on stage,I thought it was a little odd for a touring band.I asked the bass player about it and he told me that he was a guitarist and had taken this gig for extra cash.He said that ... moreit made going back and forth between bass and guitar a lot easier.This one is in above average or better shape for a 45 year old guitar.It is strung with flatwound strings.The only notable thing to mention is that when turning the tone control,there is almost no difference between 0 and 10.There would probably be a more notable difference with newer or roundwound strings.Of course the guitar shows some use but overall it has been cared for very well and is in very nice shape.SEE PHOTOS AND ENLARGE.It comes with the vinyl bag in the photo.The bag is unlined and the guitar loads from the bottom.The bag may or may not be original but it matches the guitar pretty well.Priced fairly with a Buy It Now to guarantee that You are the High Bidder. Vintage Black Leather Doctor's Bag Satchel House Call Baby Scale Medical Tools
The bag stands 10" tall and is 11" wide. The strap is leather and is a little worn but has no tears. The zipper on the front pouch works well and is marked Lightning. The clasp in the front is marked Italy and works properly. The bag has light wear and some scuffs on the outside but there are no tears. The inside is in good shape with light wear. Everything pictured is included. The baby balance scale is marked Portia and was made in England. Inside the black tube is a glass thermometer in Celsius. Everything in the bag was in there when I found it. There are some Band aids dated 1962 so I imagine that is about the time the bag was retired.
