Ruby Red Tumblers Glass (set of 4) Exc Cond 4 inches tall
Up for sale is this beautiful set of Ruby Red tumblers. These tumblers stand approximately 4" tall and are 2 3/4" in diameter at the rim. Please look closely at the photos to the shape and the indents on these glasses as they are unusual. The top part of the glass is round and the bottom half is almost square. Each of the 4 sides at the bottom has an indent which your thumb and middle fingers fit into perfectly to help hold on to the glass. These glasses are very unusual and are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The Ruby Red is becoming more and more collectible and rather hard to find. I always pick up every piece I find. This is a very cool piece of pottery! I was told it is majolica. I am not an expert in this field. All I know is this is very interesting and highly decorative. This consists of a milky white background with zodiac figures in dark carmel and green. Mr Sun is in the middle. The measures are: 11 3/4 inches in diameter and about 2 inches high. There are holes on the back for hanging. But this can sit flat on a table or stand in a plate rack too. It is signed: Colibola or possibly Golibola(see photos) It is in good vintage condition. There are a couple of spots of missing color on Cancer(bottom right) and a little missing from under Sagittarius(upper left) These really don't show that much because of the overall design of the piece.
