This is a Korean clock movement out of an old Mongomery Ward 30 day wall clock. It has worn bushings that will have to be replaced to put in working order. It includes the pendulum. Key and hands. The striking mechanism does work. What you see in the picture is what you will get. I replaces this movement with a battery powered because I don't like the hassle of winding nor did I want to pay for the necessary repairs. Absolutley no warranty of any kind is implied here.

This is an AIKOSHA 30 day time/chime and pendulum wall clock that I purchased in Japan in 1964! Chime counts the hours and marks the bottom of the hour on two chime bars. Large 7 inch dial. Case has glass windows on the sides of the case to view movement and pendulum as well as full glass front door which is held shut by hook and loop latch. The top has a metal horse that shows well. Or it could be easily removed and other decoration or finial could be placed instead. Case has a black lacquer finish and is styled like a German Vienna regulator. I collect and sell antique clocks and it is rare that you find a 30 day clock. Most are 30hr. 8 day and 15 day. This is the first 30 day clock t hat I have had in a very long time. When I purchased this from an estate it needed a lot of cleaning up as it had been stored away for many years. T he cabinet is oak and the finish was terrible. Someone had painted the sides and the finish was almost black due to age. I removed the paint and used Formby's to clean up the rest of the cabinet. Now you can see the nice grain in the oak wood. There are some blemishes on the wo od but it sure looks m uch better then when I received it. It has the original dial. I could have replaced it with a replica. But chose to ... moreleave the original dial on it. It gives it character. The cl ock has a second ha nd on the dial. I have also tigh tened the cabinet up by regluing. The bottom door has"regulator" on it. The clock runs on a 30 day signed Waterbury movement. I removed the movement. Oiled and adjusted it and remounted it in the cabinet so it is nice and tight. The original screw holes were worn and loose. The movement is time only. This model clock does not have a gong. The clock measures 32" tall and 17" wide. The clock has its original pendulum with it. What is nice about this clock is that you only have to wind it about every 28 to 30 days. On the rear of the clock you can still s ee a good portion of the original label and there is a name plate which reads: S.D. Burritt. 104 S tate Street. Rochester New York" possibly the original owner of the clock. If you are looking for a great clock for your home or office don't miss out on this old beauty.
