Chips, flakes or fleabites, no utensil marks or scratches, no cloudiness or sickness. It is pristine. I know beauty if in the eye of the beholder but it is hard to believe anyone familiar with the fine craftsmaship of hand cut glass is not going to find this bowl a treasure. I have seen this pattern listed as antique and also as brand new on ebay. Not sure if they have produced it for a long time or if certain ebay sellers just decide as they go. This particular one is at minimum 20 years old based on its known history. Possibly older. The bowl is amazing on so many levels. It is 12 1/2 pounds and the glass is 7/8 inches thick, yet you can see ... moreright thru it well enough to read a newspaper if you can find a spot that is not filled with pattern. The cut pattern is full over the entire bowl except the top of the rim and the inside of the bowl. In addition to being 10 inches wide, it is also 3 inches tall. A rare find in magnificent condition. Although I have found this pattern listed as both antique and new on ebay, I have not found another that is anywhere near as thick as this. Because of its extreme weight, it will require special packing. The PO, UPS and Fedex all charge based on weight, size of package and distance. WHEN FOUND WAS IN 2 PIECES. GLUED BACK TOGETHER. HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED. NO CHIPS MISSING. COLORS ARE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. A VERY BEAUTIFUL BOWL OR POT. MUSEUM QUALITY. THE HOHOKAM INDIANS OCCUPIED THE VALLEY OF THE SUN(PHOENIX, AZ) AND MUCH OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA FROM A.D. 1 TO 1450. Up for auction is a beautiful Native American Glass Point from the California Area I purchased from an artifact auction Large Native Amerian Wintu Green two inch Glass Point California Area Here is a little history of the Wintu People The Wintu lived primarily on the western side of the northern part of the Sacramento Valley. From the Sacramento River to the coast range. The land of the Wintu also included the southern portions of the Upper Sacramento River, the southern portion of the McCloud River, and the upper Trinity River. They also lived in the vicinity of Chico, on the west side of the river to the coast range. The Wintu lived by fishing. Hunting and gathering. Judging by the collections of points attributed to Wintu village sites, these people favored the use of varieties of desert side-notch and Gunther barbed points.
