Working and in use at the time it was taken out of service when Lunt Silversmiths closed(2010) It was used to clean brass flatware, serving pieces, bowls, trays etc prior to silver plating. We have had this equipment in storage since then and have no reason to believe that this is not a working. Serviceable unit. Lunt had the immersed U-tube heater hooked up to a steam line and the tank's heating jacket may have been hooked to steam or hot water, we are not sure. Alternately, an electrical immersion heater could serve the same function.
