Vintage Tektronix 321 Oscilloscope
I got three of these from an"electronics guy" He had all kinds of old test equipment downstairs in his'shop' When you plug it in and turn it on. The power light comes on. If you turn the knobs, you receive no response from or affect on the oscilloscope. No trace ever appears. This is all I know how to do as I have sold a number of oscilloscopes but I am just a reseller and do not know how to use them. I guess the internet leads me to sites that audio people say it works for audio and AM but too low for FM. I think this is collectable too as it was the first battery powered oscilloscope made. I took of the battery department. Has the removal key type pin that holds battery compartment on below. There were no batteries in it and the compartment has not been corroded from batteries being left in there. Has what appears to be ... morethe original 3 pin AC power cable. I have this nice Tektronix 503 scope in working condition. Comes with original service manual. 73's Andy Prigge VE3PRI. Hello I received a negative feedback by an individual whom I sent the wrong tubes to. But I sent him another package with the correct ones. Yet he made a claim against me via Ebay and Paypal. This claim was ruled in my favor, but unfortunately the damage is done and the negative feedback is there. Tektronix 422 Oscilloscope- Vintage- Powers On and Operates I am not an expert on this type of equipment. And my retired Air Force engineer has left the area. So, I tinkered with this to the best of my ability(which is limited) and here is what I can tell you. It has its power cord and it powers up. I was able to get light across the screen: The Intensity. Focus, Astigmatism, and Scale Illum functions are working. Both Vertical and Horizontal functions operated on the line or lines that I was able to bring up. The Channel knob functions: one line for one channel and two for two channels. The Variable Calibration and Time/DIV knobs were also functioning. The only problem that I kept having was maintaining the lines with HORIZ ATTEN OR LEVEL knob that runs from AUTO to FREE RUN. I had to adjust this knob very gingerly in order to get a line ... moreread on the screen. As far as testing the instrument itself or calibrating it– this is definitely out of my area of expertise. Where is that retired Air Force engineer when I need him? I am certain that if you are looking at this seriously that you already know how to mess with this unit and calibrate it as well. This Oscilloscope comes with its power cord(old school) one probe in picture and the notebook that contains the entire instruction manual. There are two manuals in this notebook. One is to the Oscilloscope and the other one is for the power supply unit that is attached to the Oscilloscope. If you have any other questions about this unit feel free to contact us. With the understanding that we do not know a lot about the testing of this type of equipment. I have sold at least six of these units in the last year, and they did not have issues as far as their functioning. This unit is being sold as is without calibration testing. I have sold oscopes from here, but this one was so old and bulky, and scope itself could be fragile in shipment, that I decided to just pull the modules from the unit and sell that way. That reduces the possible damage caused by rough mail handlers on a fragile piece of equipment being sent through the delivery services provided. Looks to be in decent shape for an older unit. All knobs and switches are there, and all seem to turn/switch fine. Has some stickers on it, but can be removed. See pictures. It was a mostly if not entirely vacuum tube design using printed circuit boards. The biggest problem with the 104D was it's limited bandwidth of about 300 KHz. Unfortunately. Neither of us knows when the 104D was made, so we are unable to ascertain which one gets the"first" label. What I do know is that the bistable storage technique came from Hughes originally, so the Hughes Memo scope might indeed have been first. Made until 1968, the type 564 is a bit smaller than the others. It accepts Tek 2- and 3- series plugins, and has a bandpass of approximately 10 MHz, when equipped with the right plugins. You are bidding on a Tektronix 468 Digital/Analog 2 channel 100 Mhz storage oscilloscope. If you like the 400 series scopes for their repairability this one is a 465B on steroids. It has also escaped the rigors of being powered up on the bench day after day which eventually takes its toll on the CRT. I have not seen a 400 series scope in this condition in years. The display is bright and very crisp. It comes with two P6105 probes and the probe manual. It has the original operators manual and a full size printed copy of the service manual in two volumes. There are two spare screens. One clear and one blue. It also has a pouch and cover. There are no marks, writing, or tags anywhere on this scope. The testing was limited to“Power On/Off. and an“Antenna Test” shown in first few pictures! All the tubes light up so they appear to be functioning properly. The fan on the backside works well, and some lights on the front power on. This is a used piece of electrical equipment that appears to be working as expected. Vintage Tektronix Oscilloscope Model 545A Type 53/54K Plug-in Unit
Offered is a Techtronics 545A Oscilliscope with Type 53/54K Plug-In Unit. I purchased this unit at an Estate sale. As you can see from the photos it has numerous scratches and marks on the outside paint finish but no dents or damage other than cosmetic.The cover on the carry handles is cracked and damaged. The front face has some scratches and wear and tear. Inside it is remarkably clean. The cooling fan runs fine. I cleaned the outside and thoroughly inspected the inside. Found no noticeable damage or problems. I don't know how to use a scope but was able to test it by following start up instructions from a free online manual for a 545 unit. After spending a lot of time adjusting the front controls following instructions from the manual. I was able to get the square tooth signal you see in the photos. It is a test signal from the Cal ... moreout jack connected with a jumper to the Plug in unit Input jack. Other than that no other tests were done. I don't have any cables or probes and wouldn't know how to use them if I did. I can't make any promises as to how well it will work otherwise. Sorry. I don't even know what it is supposed to do! The boyfriend brought it home and said"sell it! Tons and tons of buttons.
