As seen in the pictures this unit powers up has a very sharp and bright CRT. All 4 Channels appear to wrok correctly and the exterior condition is very nice. All the knobs turn straight and fluid. Plus all push buttons move in and out very smoothly. To test functions I made sure all buttons and lights made a difference on the display when they were engaged. The 2246 is a fairly modern design oscilloscope and one of the last analog oscilloscope from Tektronix. It's also one of the last Tektronix oscilloscopes repairable by component replacement. The 2246 is one of the most versatile analog scope I ever used. The 2246 oscilloscope can greatly reduce time consuming tasks by use of it's SmartCursors™ feature. The cursors allow voltage measurements with on-screen cursors(see photos) Visually indicate trigger level and ground, and make time measurements with cursors or alternate delayed sweep.
