But you can now get it for a tiny fraction, working as well as new. ... more2465A was successor to best selling 2465 and predecessor to 2465B. 2465A added: keeping track of hours on, auto-scaling(idiotproof button) and front panel knob setting(setups) memory. I find not keeping track of hours by plain 2465 to be a serious drawback(you wouldn't want 1 that racked 262000 hours in its 30 years existance by being left on all the time, or even with 66000 hours if it was left on 1/4th the time) Scopes I sell have clocked less than 20000 hours. For 2465A that works out to no more ON than about 1/10th of the time. Another serious drawback of plain 2465 is a no longer made fan. 2465A uses a still available fan, and I do replace them as bearings wear. The only advantage I can think of that plain 2465 had was not needing a Li battery for memory backup. This came in from a test facility that had some older equipment that they didn't need anymore. This looks like it was in storage and not used for awhile. A lot of stuff we get from h ere works fine. See a lot of great positive feedbacks we have gotten from these. And haven't been tested and sold as parts/repair, so must have been pretty good! I am not a technician, but I did plug it in and it fired up okay. F irst powered up and showed a trace pretty much centered in the lower part of the grid. I moved the trace left/right. Up/down. Increased/decreased intensity. Adjusted the focus, etc. I decided to punch a bunch of buttons to get the panel to light up and show that it does seem to work somewhat. Came up with two different traces, with two lines in each trace. Most scopes I sell, I sell for over $600 and include fresh cal& refurb, however, this model might not sell if I price it over $600, so it has not yet(or only partially) benefitted from my value adding services. It works correctly and is still in correct calibration. I shall leave you the option of paying more to do more for you(read below) 1st photo shows 2430A passes self-tests. 2nd photo shows optionally available Tek P6063B switchable probes(both 1:1& 10:1 200Mhz with readout switching; sealed/new; read below) Before digital storage scopes evolved into small lunchbox sized surface mount populated fluff boxes in the late 90s. There were digitizing scopes such as the Tektronix 2430A that actually contained normal size parts that can be worked on with human sized fingers. So unlike with newer DSOs, this item does not become ... moree-waste first time it breaks. Tek labels the 2430A as 150MHz/ 100 Megasamples/second. Analog scopes should not be used close to their upper bandwidth limit, digitizing scopes carry the same caveat even more so. It is recommended for use at under 50MHz. Whereas a non-storage scope can only display what happens after triggering. A digital storage scope can also display what happens before triggering, and this is its main advantage it's like a time machine. You can think of it as an endless loop recorder(like a cockpit voice recorder of an airplane) and you can look back any part of the loop you haven't re-recorded over. The length of the loop is 1000 recording points. A point can be as long as 50mS at the slowest sweep speed, or as short as 10nS at the faster sweep speeds. It looks good and works well. I will include one generic X10 scope probe(not the one in the picture) and one coax cable with this nice 4 channel oscope. As well as a power cable. TEKTRONIX 475 DM43 Oscilloscope Very Nice Condition- Tested and Working Fine I purchased this from a retired friend's personal equipment- I don't know anything about these. But he ran through a bunch of tests and said that it was working fine. Cosmeically it appears to be in very nice condition. There are only a couple of really minor cosmeic flaws(which I've shown in the pictures) 1) There is a small chip in the trim on upper left hand corner of the DM-43. 2) The outer plastic casing on one of the knobs is cracked(lower right hand corner of the 475) 3) Two of the pastic feet have broken off(I would just remove all of the feet but I'll leave that for the winner to decide. These are super minor flaws but did want to mention them for completeness. I will have other similar equipment listed. So please check my other auctions ... moreif this type of stuff interests you. Up for bid is a nice working Tektronix® 434 Storage Oscilloscope w/Opt1 CRT. The scope is a solid state portable instrument that combines small size and light weight with the ability to make precision waveform measurements. It is designed for general purpose applications where display storage is desired along with conventional(non-store) operation. It is a dual-channel DC-to-25 MHz vertical system and provides calibrated deflection factors from 1 millivolt to 10 volts/division. The trigger circuits provide stable triggering over the full range of vertical frequency response although this unit triggers reliably to 50 MHz(not guaranteed) as shown in the second picture. The horizontal deflection system provides calibrated unmagnified sweep rates from 5 seconds to 0.2 μ sec.division. This unit has option 1 which provides 5 Div/ μ sec. The ... moreunit is a clean working oscilloscope and comes with a front cover. The traces are bright and clear and focus properly. All knobs and switches seem to work correctly. I have checked out the unit which seems to closely track both frequency and amplitude of my high-end synthesized signal generator. Although unfamiliar with the storage operation. I have played with it and it seems to store signals although they appear light after storage. This may be due to needing adjustment/calibration. Last calibration due date on the cabinet sticker shows it is past due for calibration. Overall this is a nice scope and would be a nice addition to any Lab or anyone’s Electronics Workshop or Ham Radio Shack. This unit is in good physical shape as shown by the pictures. Unit serial number is B516052. The unit is vintage test equipment so cannot be guaranteed to be in calibration but will be functionally checked again just prior to packaging for shipment. I have disassembled and throughly cleaned internally and externally. Professionally reconditioned the A5 control card with new NVRAM. Checked control setups and verified proper operation. This is a complex piece of test equipment and will require experienced user to operate with the proper probes for the 2445B oscilloscope which are the models P6133 or P6137 probes. This scope is a spare unit that I personally own. This scope should be purchased only by trained and qualified electrical technicians that understand the dangers of working with electrical circuits and know how to do so safely following the precautions listed in operators manuals. For auction is a handheld portable 2-channel Tektronix Model 224 digital storage oscilloscope. I purchased it new when I was a Tech Rep but I don't have a need for it now. It has always been in my possession and has never been loaned-out to anyone. So you can be assured it is in great condition. This is a 60 MHz bandwidth oscilloscope that has 4 memory locations for waveforms. It is shown displaying a waveform from a signal generator that is off-camera.
