Vintage 1954 Heathkit Oscilloscope model OL-1 test equipment WORKS
You will be bidding on a vintage 1954 Heathkit Oscillscope. I do not know much about these. Except that this model was introduced in Aug 1954 and made in Benton Harbor, Mich USA. When this one is plugged in the green light does come on, and it will change with the turns of the knobs. It works on both settings in the back- the internal and the external. The case does have a few scuffs and scratches, also a light layer of dust. All the knobs are in place, except for the lower left hand red one, which I have replaced with a electrical cap. Heathkit Dual Trace Oscilloscope IO-4550 Antique
You are bidding on an antique Heathkit Dual Trace Oscilloscope IO-4550 working but due to age sold AS-IS! Something this old will. For sure, need calibration and some work. This was from my brother's father-in-laws estate. He was a TV repairman. Handyman, tinkerer most of his 96 years. This was one of the tools of his work. It comes with the 4 cables that are(sort of) pictured that are connected to the 4 B&C connectors on the one picture, as well as a 5th cable that I found when going through his box of cables. Etc, that has a B&C connector on one end and an RCA connector on the other. This had been sitting on a shelf in his work shop at his home then later on a shelf at my brothers home for a number of years. When I powered it up. To test it, the power light came on but no sweep traces then I notice a wisp of smoke coming from ... moreit. Upon investigating I found a burned up resistor. Always fun because you can no longer read the color codes. I went on line and located the PDF copy of the schematics for it. I printed the 6 pages of the schematic out and taped it together to make one complete(will be included) At the close of the auction I will also e-mail the winning bidder the PDF file schematics for your records. I. Looking at the parts on the PCB and the schematic, figured out that it was a 68 ohm 1/2 watt resistor, part of the CRT 3 stage driver circuit. I replaced both the resistor and the 2N3053 transistor it was connected to(in case it is what made the resistor burn) $11.00 in parts. Heathkit was designed with the novice and learner in mind and each PCB has a different number in relation to each board and component. L101. Q321 etc. the 100's on PCB 1 and the 200's on PCB 2 etc. Makes it nice, because a lot of their devices were sold as kits(hence the name Heathkit) This oscilloscope is working(powers up with A and B traces) but is sold AS-IS because no further testing was done and due to age may have other issues. This is a Heathkit Model I0-102-8 Serial number 02507. It is a 0-5 MHZ oscilloscope built between 1971 and 1975 according to a Heathkit website. They said that there are manuals available on the web. The yellow power light comes on when you pull the on/off switch. I spent about 15 minutes trying to get a visible trace on the screen but I never saw one. Since I don't have a manual. I do not know how to troubleshoot this unit. The size is 17 X 13 X 8 1/2 inches and it weighs about 26 lbs. I kept it in my instrumentation cabinet for the last 20 years. This is a fully functioning machine. He powered it on and showed me that it was fully working. He did say that there was a little noise in the Trigger Level Stability knob. Which only needs occasional adjustments for unusual waveform displays. Note: This unit needs to be plugged into an isolation transformer when working on newer televisions. Or newer electronics. Heathkit IG-4505 Oscilloscope Calibrator with Manual
For auction is a Heathkit IG-4505 Oscilloscope Calibrator. Allows calibration of voltage and frequency of scopes. Powers up and tested the voltage output with a cheap RS DMM. All of the settings on the voltage terminals showed a little above the half of the indicated value. As the ranges are peak-to-peak and the DMM is RMS(more or less) that seems appropriate and also matches the results of testing a second unit I have. The frequency BNC cable also shows low-level signals. My scope is packed up somewhere so I can't say what the wave form looks like. My guess is OK but I am selling as-is like all vintage electronics. For auction is one Heathkit IO-21 Oscilloscope for parts or repair. When powered on the tube filaments glow but there is no signal to the CRT. The voltages from the power transformer measure what they should according to the Heathkit Schematic so I imagine this needs a re-cap to function properly. Original tubes include 2 US-made 12AU7's. A US-made 12AT7 and a Japanese 12AX7. Also has a nice Stancor power transformer. The case has some marks and dents as shown in the pictures. Heathkit Vintage Oscilloscope O 6 type
This oscilloscope works when plugged in. I wanted to point out this came from a very large electronics estate where many of the electronics were modified. As you can see in the pictures the unit has been modified and has a larger viewing screen installed. I am not an electronics person so all I can tell you is the scope works when plugged in and the screen changes from an oval light to a horizontal line when the dials are turned. This may or may not be an O 6 model but the unit looks almost identical to other o6 pictures I have seen. Sold as is with no warranties. 17 1/2" long(20 inches including added on visor) 13 inches high, 8 1/2 inches wide. approximately 30 pounds. Option of local pick up is ok. Just let me know.

HeathKit Laboratory Oscilloscope Model: 10-18 | Series: 917 2933 The unit powers on. But doesn't seem to be working. When checking the tube, some of them are cool to the touch, so I figure they are not working, most are. The CRT display a green dot so that seems to be working. I do not have the tools nor skill to test it, particularly since it seems some of the tubes may not be working. ALL parts are there that I can tell. It is moderately dusty and has been in storage for a long time. I am not the original owner of this so I am not aware of how it was stored. I acquired this and though I'd sell it for someone who collects these and can refurbish it or use it for parts. I build a couple small HeakthKits as a child…I loved the concept and learning experience. I hope someone can give this a new life or use it to restore others. This ... moreis listed AS-IS.
