The Oscilloscope software starts but never finishes loading. It hangs at the DSO8000 splash screen. And even after tens of minutes of sitting nothing else happens. Using our mouse and keyboard plugged into the back of the unit, we were able to close the DSO software and navigate in Windows, but when we re-started the DSO software it never completed loading the scope. It gave an error about a file on a networked drive(which we are not able to access with the scope sitting alone on our test bench) The screen is DIM and a little hard to see in bright ambient lighting. But with good color. The touch screen input works. We are not sure what might be wrong with this unit. No other testing was done. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown. Unit powers up and occasionally will show'Fail ++Acquisition' after its self-test. Most of the time it passes its self-tests and goes right to the measurement screen. We opened the unit up and measured all power supply test points and we did not see any ripple that would indicate a failing component. The unit was pretty clean on the inside(see last 2 pics) Its last calibration was on 7/19/11. And we were the ones who removed the seals looking for the cause of the Fail++Acquisition. We do not have the style of probe required to test this unit any further. The S/N is B030347. Only what is listed above and/or shown in the pictures below are included in this auction. Item weighs about 27 pounds. For more detailed information we have provided this link to the website. Used condition. We have no way of testing completely.
