Update I just purchased a HP 1160A probe 500 MHZ probe Sunday October 5th I added three new pictures. One is the self-test. The warning about the actuators is actually an error due to battery failure(see above) The actuator count can be reset. The next picture the calibration screen showing everything OK and the final test shows the sine wave response to a 100MHZ input. Everything is normal.

This is a nice scope; I like it a lot. It has several menus. And functions selectable from those menus. I am an electrician and not an electronics guy. I like this scope because the way it is set up makes it easy for a dummy like me to get a usable waveform on a usable display really quickly. As best as I can tell, everything works. There is a self diagnostic the scope goes through upon start up; it passes that. There are three or four additional menu-selectable diagnostics that you can run. The scope passes all those tests. The accessory pouch is attached. There are two manuals(in great shape) included. The display functions properly. The probes you see in the photos are not included. I built this unit in around 1985 whilst in college for EEG. Please dont buy this unit if your are not computer suave as setting it up requires knowledge of basic and such. I f I can remeber correctly it took me an hour to set this up the first time. I have all the manuals and they pretty much walk you thru it but assume you have a programming knowledge base and I will not walk someone thru it for the price this will be selling at. This o-scope was the rage when I first built it now its slow and old with corny graphics LOL how things change so fast. It seems like the blink of and eye and I was soldering the ICs into place. They were to allow you to mount them on walls around your work area and be large enough to see and read them. Fortunately for the buyer I was magnet freak and held mine aloft with magnets to the ferrous dividers between work areas. I was lucky and had very little begging to do and lit this baby up soon after completeing I think it took me 2 full days to build. It displays on the computer and you can save the traces. I am not a computer nerd! I am not able to run this on modern computers I have an old laptop I used to run this on, after years of storage I cannot get my old laptop to fire up, for some reason the operating system has been wiped from the drive. I have read of people using these on modern laptops on the different forums. All most all the people are missing the software, THE SOFTWARE FOR THIS SCOPE IS INCLUDED! But it is on a 3.5 floppy. Tektronix Tektronics Model 224 Handheld Digital Storage Oscilloscope Scope
This is a handheld portable 2-channel Tektronix Model 224 digital storage oscilloscope. I purchased it new when I was a Tech Rep but I don't have a need for it now. It comes with a very nice travel bag. Shoulder strap and a shoulder pad. It has always been under my personal care. You can be assured that it is in great condition. It has a bandwidth of 60 MHz and has 4 memory locations for saved waveforms. It is shown displaying a waveform from an external waveform generator. It has the original battery and includes the factory instruction book. The original wall power supply was lost in Egypt and the replacement from Motorola works fine.
