At the time. This oscilloscope was purchased from a knowledgeable seller, unit#3 of 5 units they had available. I had originally intended to learn repair work but that opportunity never materialized. Therefore this scope was never used by me. I selected this particular model after much research and recommendations from industry techs with a history of repairing recent equipment and vintage components. The Tektronix 465B Oscilloscope was considered the industry standard in 100MHz portable oscilloscopes for many years and still remains very desirable today. The unit has a white sticker on top that says"calibrated" so it's been bench tested for accuracy at some point. I am not familiar with how this unit functions. Therefore the unit must be sold as is, however the unit powers on fine and appears to work as it should. Extra time was taken to research and purchase the correct genuine Tektronix test probes and instruction manual that are best compatiable with the Tektronix 465B. This oscilloscope is in good cosmetic and working condition. I am quite unfamiliar with how oscilloscopes work. But it does power up and give a trace. It has a set of various leads in the pouch. At the time. This oscilloscope was purchased from a knowledgeable seller, unit#3 of 5 units they had available. I had originally intended to learn repair work but that opportunity never materialized. Therefore this scope was never used by me. I selected this particular model after much research and recommendations from industry techs with a history of repairing recent equipment and vintage components. The Tektronix 465B Oscilloscope was considered the industry standard in 100MHz portable oscilloscopes for many years and still remains very desirable today. The unit has a white sticker on top that says"calibrated" ... moreso it's been bench tested for accuracy at some point. I am not familiar with how this unit functions. Therefore the unit must be sold as is, however the unit powers on fine and appears to work as it should. Extra time was taken to research and purchase the correct genuine Tektronix test probes and instruction manual that are best compatiable with the Tektronix 465B. Used Working Tektronix 465B Dual Trace oscilloscope. This unit is in good overall condition. Has 2 calibration stickers on the side from the late 80's, then when the unit was removed from commercial service it went home with an employee and the last calibration was done by him in 1998 no sticker to verify but it has worked for me with no issues. It has been 3 years or so since it has seen service so it may need calibration or a general check up. Comes with protective front cover. 3 probes, a dual adapter, 3 way jumper, and single jumper, and pinch clip adapter. The feet on the back side have become brittle and show some deterioration. This oscilloscope has been in occasional use on my bench for approximately 10 years. Performing without issue. It has been tested recently and found to be within original specs. Useful bandwidth extends considerably beyond its 100MHz spec. The unit is clean and the trace is sharp and bright. It includes a pouch for accessories It comes with a nearly new HP 9150 probe(150MHz) with accessories. A printed copy of the Tektronix Instruction and Service Manual, and a power cord. The instruction manual will benefit anyone purchasing his first scope(and nice to have for oldtimers, too) I've never had to access the service portion of the manual so this may be both a first and a last oscilloscope. The only known issue is a pair of broken plastic"feet" attached to the rear of the scope to support it when resting with the back downward. ... moreThese are easily replaced and have no effect on the scope's operation.
