Up for auction is a Tektronix 465 Oscilloscope. Used and in great condition. Power on just fine. Tested the Oscilloscope channels by hooking up the input to an audio signal. Both appear to work excellent. Comes included with the manual, carrying pouch for paperwork, 1 probe, BNC to banana plug splitter, and manual for the probes. A lot of stuff we get from h ere works fine. See a lot of great positive feedbacks we have gotten from these. And haven't been tested and sold as parts/repair, so must have been pretty good! I am not a technician, but I did plug it in and it fired up okay. F irst powered up and showed a trace pretty much centered in the lower part of the grid. I moved the trace left/right. Up/down. Increased/decreased intensity. Adjusted the focus, etc. I decided to punch a bunch of buttons to get the panel to light up and show that it does seem to work somewhat. Came up with two different traces, with two lines in each trace. Picture three has a dual trace in the center(center two lines) with a bigger dual trace(upper and lower lines) enclosing the inner dual trace.There is not much else I can do to test this since I have no probes. Machine looks great and looks like it would run just fine. B ut since I can't test. Will be selling as a parts/repair unit and sold AS IS. Showed some things I can do, and looks to work somewhat. But you can now get it for a tiny fraction, working correctly. 2252 is identical to 2247A, but adds an unusual feature for an analog scope: a printer port(which means it includes a slow digitizer) actually 2: a GPIB and a Centronics. These ports are compatible with printers of the late 80s/early 90s era, such as Tek HC200, HP 2225, and other Epsom compatible dot matrix printers. The probes have some cosmetic damage including holes in the insulation on the outer cable sheath. The accessory pouch is retained by a custom piece of twisted wire. At the time. This oscilloscope was purchased from a knowledgeable seller, unit#3 of 5 units they had available. I had originally intended to learn repair work but that opportunity never materialized. Therefore this scope was never used by me. I selected this particular model after much research and recommendations from industry techs with a history of repairing recent equipment and vintage components. The Tektronix 465B Oscilloscope was considered the industry standard in 100MHz portable oscilloscopes for many years and still remains very desirable today. The unit has a white sticker on top that says"calibrated" ... moreso it's been bench tested for accuracy at some point. I am not familiar with how this unit functions. Therefore the unit must be sold as is, however the unit powers on fine and appears to work as it should. Extra time was taken to research and purchase the correct genuine Tektronix test probes and instruction manual that are best compatiable with the Tektronix 465B.
