This is one of Thomas& Betts early tools when ty-raps came into use. It is a neat art deco aluminum gun looking tool. This was the best money could buy at that time! Overall condition is great for such a old gently used tool in working condition. Jaws are still nice and sharp. No hammer markings from using the tool as a hammer. It has your normal minimal wear marks. Scrapes and bruises from all those many years of gentle use. Some of the surface markings, and dirt will clean off but, I will leave that to you. Thomas & Betts Shure Stake Insulated Terminal Crimper Yellow Red Blue
A set of Thomas& Betts Co. Shure Stake crimpers used for crimping common automotive Yellow. Blue and Red insulated crimp lugs. These are a second set that has been setting in my tool box. I have used a set for many automotive crimp jobs. I just do not need two sets so am making room in the tool box. This set is missing the out put stop, it is a flat metal plate on the back side that is supposed to help put the crimp on exactly right but to me it just got in the way so was removed(and lost) But it does not affect crimping ability, you will just need to manual place terminal on wire at proper spot. These have a bit of patina from setting in the box but for most part are clean.
