Corning Pyrex 6 inch diameter fine annealed mirror blank with low bubble content. Comes with 6" diameter. 1" thick plate glass tool. Also included is 1/2 lb. of number 80 silicon carbide abrasive to form the initial curve.The pyrex blank has been rough ground on a different tool to a depth of about 1mm. This tool has been used to grind and polish an f/8 mirror. So the mirror and tool curves do not match exactly. But you have a big head start on the rough grinding operation. There is plenty of#80 SiC included to finish rough grinding and matching the curves. The plate glass tool should be beveled before proceeding. The tool has some edge chips. CORNING ULE OPTICAL FLAT MIRROR 161/4" X 2 3/4" 1/20TH WAVE LASER BLANK ZERODUR
This sale is for a used Laboratory Surplus 16 1/4" Diameter x 2 3/4" Thick Optical Flat Mirror. Mirror glass is Corning ULE Ultra Low Expansion Glass. Flatness was rated at better than 1/20th wave. This mirror is in Re-Coatable Condition. As you can see in the photo the reflective surface has some minor scratches. These scratches are not very deep- I can not determine if they go all the way through the reflective coating and affect the ground glass surface. The reflective coating may possibly be removed and re-applied without having to re-grind the glass. The reflection in the mirror in one photo is the ceiling in my warehouse. The black areas on the back of the mirror are remaining adhesive from when it was mounted. I have sold over 10 of these mirrors and this is the last one I have for sale. 12.5 Inch Diameter Pyrex Flat or Mirror Blank - No Reserve
This is a Pyrex disk that was ground and polished and used by an optical company as an autocollimating flat in a production environment. The aluminum coating was badly deteriorated and has been removed. There are some scratches on the glass and a ringlike area that is lightly scuffed(see photos) Like most autocollimating flats. This has some sphericity which matters very little when used as an autocollimating retroreflector. But which would cause some astigmatism if used as a diagonal reflector. I don't know what the wave accuracy is. Either with the spherical curvature subtracted. Or without. The scratches are much too deep to polish out, the scuffing is probably not. If the scratches are not a major issue. Then the flat could be restored for use as an autocollimator without too much work. Alternatively. This disk could be reground and ... morepolished for a telescope mirror. It was evidently a standard full thickness molded Pyrex blank which was ground and semi-polished on the back. The finished thickness is 1.75 inches. So a fair amount of material was removed. There is still plenty left to make a rigid mirror for a standard mounting cell. It will also cool more quickly. And it weighs a few pounds less than a standard blank; all good things IMO. The engraving on the side of the disk probably refers to an old military contract. I think the"BLO" stands for Bausch& Lomb Optical. But don't know for sure. Wish I could tell you more about the history. The item appears to celebrate 100 years in business(1820-1920) and measures a whopping 4" in diameter. Unfortunately, as you can see above, especially in the second image, there's some significant spotting along the rim on the celluloid side. The mirror side is good with minimal spotting. This auction includes a 7/8" thick disk. A 5/8" thick disk, and about 200 grams of#80 silicon carbide for rough grinding. The 7/8" thick disk has been coarse ground flat on one side. And fine ground with a shallow convex curve on the other side. The flat side is nearly chipless. The 5/8" thick disc has a shallow concave surface ground and polished with a big. Deep chip on it, and the other side is flat. Grinding the flat side of the thicker disk concave, against the flat side of the thinner disk. Mirror blank with tool, 180 mm dia, ~ f/1.14
Got this at a swap meet in the 1980s and never did anything with it. 180 mm diameter(a little over 7" Unaluminized, hand ground to a very fine grit- looks polished to the naked eye, but a small amount of scatter is seen with a laser test. Previous owner measured 410 mm radius and marked it on the side. Focal ratio is therefore about f/1.14. Originally intended for a Schmidt camera. I currently have no way of testing the curve or surface quality. Sold as is.

12in Diameter Optical Glass Flat BK7 Lens mirror Blank and Aluminium mount 12"
Glass is 12.000 in diameter and 1.492 thick. Weight 15lb 15oz. It is optically clear and in excellent condition almost perfect, no scratches, a couple tiny surface specks on each side can not tell if they are pits, dirt, just in the coating.probably not worth mentioning. I'm guessing the glass is BK7 or similar type judging by its density and can not pass 254nm light, but only a guess. One side has a faint coating, looks like a faint reflective coating maybe 5% reflectance but unknown coating. The flat came out of a large NASA device called a Starfield generator. The glass is a flat but do not know it's grade of flatness so might only be good for mirror/lens blank. The mount is aluminium and weight is 9lb. We're selling a 6-3/4x6-3/4x1-1/4 inch optical flat/mirror blank in excellent condition. There are no visible scratches on either face. No chips, and both faces are polished. This piece of fused silica(quartz) was one element of a segmented lens that was part of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories Nova Laser project: a monster laser designed to investigate inertial confinement fusion. Each of 28 of these optically flat lenses was set at a precise angle and position in a 6 inch thick, 650 pound aluminum frame, creating one large lens. We can't sell you the entire assembly, but will happily sell you a single lens for use as an optical flat, a mirror blank, or an interesting conversation piece for your desk. Thanks!

4.5 inch telescope mirror blank and accessories
The mirror is mostly finished. It needs some final grit and figure/polishing. I was not able to finish due to hand and back trouble. The mirror blank has one chip on edge. It's roughly shaped for f/8 or so. Includes secondary mirror. Secondary mirror holder and primary mirror holder. Secondary mirror may have minor scratches. All parts could use a little cleaning.

20 inch REFLECTOR TELESCOPE PRIMARY MIRROR BLANK GROUND TO SHAPE NOT FINNISHED
20 inch reflection telescope mirror blank. It is unfinished. It came from an estate here in Boise. I was able to talk to the son and he knew only a little. His dad was an Astronomer in Southern California. The lens was a unfinished project that had been sent for rough grind/shaping. It measures 20 inches and about 1 inch at the edge. It is much thicker in the middle. I wish I could say more about the grinding it has had but just figure it as a blank with some of the shaping already done. There are some numbers written in pencil at the edge shown in the last three photos. Perhaps these 3 numbers mean something to you. Perhaps not. I laid a straight edge across the top and it is concave. It measures about 6.5mm(just over a 1/4 inch) from the straight edge to the glass in the middle. Giant 41in(1 meter) square! mirror made of low expansion Cervit. Cer-vit is a glass-ceramic material made up of oxides of silicon, aluminum and lithium, with ultra low coefficient of thermal expansion, used for telescope mirrors and lenses. Cer-Vit and Zerodur are two-phase ceramics consisting of a high percentage of crystalline silica-based material and the remainder of non-crystalline glass. Cervit normally has inclusion of crystals and small bubbles(0.1–0.2 mm diameter) resulting from the manufacturing process which is why Zerodur and Sitall have replaced it. If you look into the glass you can see random inclusions and bubbles. This material has been used in many large telescope throughout the world and this piece could surely make another. Otherwise it could possibly make a great optical test sphere as it is now. The mirror has a 1066in ... moreradius. 533in FL, f/13 if you used just the center circle, f/9.2 if you measure corner to corner where the sphere diameter is ~58in. The mirror appears bare but has a UV mirror coating which gives it a slight purple hue at an angle. Includes an aluminum frame and covers, plus a huge custom crate.
