Oriel 16617 Linear Stage w/Motor Mike Actuator For sale- an Oriel 16617 Linear Stage with Motor Mike Actuator and a Mitutoyo Micrometer/Indicator Dial. I call this a linear stage mainly because I don’t know what else to call it. The unit sits on your optical bench and the top surface is raised or lowered by the actuator. I have no idea what sort of mechanism is inside to convert the actuator motion into up and down. The top plate installed measures 3x3.5 inches. As it stands it is about 2 7/8 inches tall. The indicator on the Motor Mike is just shy of the.2 inch mark on the 0-0.5 inches range. I have no idea if the Motor Mike markings are linear. Meaning I don’t know that a half an inch of Motor Mike range translates into a half an inch of up/down movement. I actually have a small Motor Mike controller but it has some small pins on the back ... moreinstead of the nice mini plug connection on this one. So for the moment I cannot connect the two. Which means it is totally untested. And NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. And sits about 2 3/8 inches high not including the small aluminum plate it is mounted to, which adds about another 3/8 of an inch. The Motor Mike actuator looks like it has a range of about a half inch. The stage itself has longer travel but would be limited to how far the actuator could push it back. The stage also has a nice Mitutoyo Micrometer/Indicator Dial to give you a more precise reading of where the stage is. I actually have a small Motor Mike controller but it has very small pins on it so it does not connect to the stage as currently configured with the nice mini plug jack.
